How do YOU know a good track?
Hey guys,
As the topic says how do you guys tell that you like the track your listening and that it's a good track?
eg. on me its whenever im listening to a track and suddenly i find myself just staring blankly at nothing and losing all thoughts... (u could say in a trance lol)
and on a really good track i will just stop everything im doing and suddenly i feel shivers down my spine
does anyone get the shiver down their spine or do u get something else?
I start busting a move in my computer chair, thats when I know I am definitly liking a track. Very seldomly do I get chills, but it happens. The last track that I liked that much was Jase from Outta Space - do what you want (infusion remix). I am do for another real soon.
When i have to listen to it all the time and i just go nuts when i do
when i know a track is good..I do the moonwalk.
Last time when I heard a really good track (Sander K. on WMC) I said "kurwa... ja pierdole" (In english it means something like "ohhhh, fuck!"). Then i took a seat sand shuted my mouth till the end of the track. I love moments like that! But it`s rare!
when you feel raw emotion pass through you
there have been threads along the same lines as this one but what the hay..
i know its an amazing..im talking the best of the best when... well i guess its basiclly an aural orgasim. its not an orgasim per se, just a wave, a rush of energy throughout the body. i get massive chills, but even if im dead tired, i could dance...like right now i could get up and dance right in my chair to Conjure One - Center Of The Sun (Junkie XL Remix)

It varies on the style of music...
If it's tech-trance, it's usually when I feel a ton of energy, and just can't stop dancing. If it's uplifting, it's when I get that emotional, goosebump feeling.
if its good : i start bobbing my head
if its very good : i begin to move with the music
if its the dogs knob : i go crazy

what does dogs knob mean?
when you feel like you're in a glass case of emotion.
dogs knob = dogs willy = dogs bollocks = term used in england to descibe something really great!
Ya, I get the chills sometimes when it's a track that I connect a lot of emotions and memories to
when a track is good, almost immediately i'll have it on repeat...for a while it will be the first song i want to play at night and the last song i want to hear at night...
great tracks push and reveal a kind of emotion that i can't quite put into words, but both consciously and unconsciously, i know its freakin good, to say the least.
It defies description and is instantly recognizable. Something powerful rips through you, you don't just listen to the track, you _feel_ it. Anyway, words are nowhere near perfect to describe emotions, so I've given up...
I know its good when I can needle drop it anywhere and know its good. That is to say that ALL the elements in the song make musical sense and really contribute to the overall vibe (as opposed to one sample, the kickdrum, or other individual elements of a song). Also, I've found that to really hold my attention the song has to have solid percussion that fits in between 2 quarter notes, creating an interesting rythym that makes me want the breakdown. My 2 cents
when a track is good, i pee my pants and go yaa! another cool track.
I realize there is jizz on my pants.
