Progressive? Not even what I'd consider to be close...

You probably need to order it from Vandit. That is my plan anyway.

hey guys want to check something, the dreamland on the upcoming album, is it the 2004 version? just curious anyone heard it yet? is it comparable to the original?

it's more powerful than the original. i don't really like the synths though

so i hope it's not the 2004 version on the album..

great release in any case, that Tommotor track is insane
and Free Fall is one of the best tracks so far this year IMO!

this is something for my collection

Posted by mactheknife on Jul-09-2004 21:41:

hmm.....i dont usually by artist albums but this might go on my list.

Judging from the sample available at vandits page, it's not the 2004 version

Lol, I was listening to the sample of Bonsai on the vandit site and like some seconds into the sample I was anticipating the radio voice from the Orgasmatron liveset. Nice to have a real version of the song as well as all the other ones, lookin' forward to it \o/

so any more reviews on this? i know it was on sale at the Love From Above last night

is it mixed? or track singles?

Posted by rpa on Jul-10-2004 19:34:

in the process of listeniing to it now (may post a full album review a bit later)

tracklist:
1) Eclisse
2) visual sonar (vs. rob aker)
3) supersonik way
4) bonsai
5) free fall
6) connective
7) butterfly
8) astralis (feat. gate 4)
9) tommotor
10) the shadow
11) aloa p
12) dreamland

length: 77 min, 28 secs

album is sorta mix (track fadeouts blend into each other but nothing else so far)

eclisse - starts off as a very foreboding type of intro and then changes to 1 that (somewhat) reminds me of the forever today intro before switching to something with a beat at about a little past 2 minutes, continues to be an intro type of track though (still having sort of a foreboding tone to it)...no real climax to this song, it starts going to a much more chill type at around 4minutes in

visual sonar - something between chill and hard...i couldnt really see anyone getting really hyped up if this was spinning but IMO would be sorta a good lead in type track (start of a set maybe?)

supersonik way - good song, much more suited for spinning than track 2...very uptempo (especially towards later part of the middle) and has lot of energy to it...slows down a bit before the 5 minute mark thru the rest of the song w/ just an uptempo beat ... good track

will edit later w/ rest of tracks ....

few more tracks:

bonsai - slowish song...love the melody tho (what sounds like a flute)...flute solo (pretty sure its a flute, im awful at ID'ing instruments) around 3:30, VERY good + unique...all in all: great song, love the melody and the chill type atmosphere of the song

free fall - since everyone has heard this i dont need to say anything else other than its a great song

connective - good song but nothing spectacular

butterfly - 1 of my more favorite songs so far on the album...good uptempo beat at times, brings it down to a slower beat then goes for a frenzied finish (my favorite "style" of trance songs)

astralis - good track, has more of a buildup than the other tracks on the album and has a great stop-start part stuck right in the middle...good track to spin, has the great build up build down style thats great (imo) for spinning (ie it adds energy)

more to come...

tommotor - average song, nothing really caught my fancy

the shadow - same as 'tommotor', average song that doesnt much stand out to me

aloa p - start reminds me of 'zombie nation' minus the vocals...good song tho, slows down to a foreboding crawl towards the middle and then goes back to normal

dreamland - good song, better than tracks 9 & 10 but not a great track to end with IMO....good leadup/mix etc.

favorite song on album: bonsai (i have a feeling there will come an awesome remix from this song), followed by free fall
