this is the thread for Armin...u should go there...ppl do talk about a meetup and we are def open to meeting TAs as for J00f also...keke mebbe start a roll call for both? but im sure headz would like to meet up for that also. im one that mite check out both. Im LySs btw welcome.

i'm coming to armin but i only work mon, thurs, fri and some saturdays so its hard for me to take off on fridays -- especially since its the night i make the most money to pay my bills (i bartend). i need a lot of money for august cuz i'm going to florida twice, 1 week apart and i'm totally broke from toronto so i need to work as much as possible.

and anyway..i really want to see j00f but not at freakin avalon. that club makes me want to kill myself.

yeah avalon is gayy aiite...and i agree about the all-access bit...i mean vip is fine but in the interest of making more money the clubs now close off parts of the clubs for VIP access...it just makes for less available space and hence the overcrowding...two weeks ago i was in the Spider Club area of Avalon (not sure if thats the VIP section) but even that was f0ckin crowded. and if i had to PAY to sit in that section i would have been PISSED (i think u need to buy at least a bottle to sit in that area).

the atmosphere is different now, when i went to the g/d party i think it was in may, i got my vinyl signed by dave and josh, and some kid wanted to fight me over it! such bs.. i do promote there, so i signalled a bouncer and he got owned =P

honestly, i think they should have these great dj nights at roxy instead.. only time it got insanely packed was the november PVD reflections night, that was Exit/black type of sweatfest =\

I am a total virgin to the clubs here in NYC. I live in the West Village and there are waaay too many trendy places for my liking. That scene was cool to me... when I was barely legal to drink. Anyway, I want to go to a club where they cater to people who are there for the music.

well many clubs enforce dress code to some extent now -- and i know its a sore point wid some partiers but i dont mind it really. it doesnt hurt to look decent during a nite out...most clubs will allow neat and casual...except when certain bouncers decide to be an ass about it...

ive gone to Crobar on their regular friday/sat nites -- i like the place and the dance floor/sound system is great.

Did a lookup on it and it doesn't sound too bad. Maybe I will check it out tonight. What time do they close?

I guess I have paid more to get into clubs so $15 to $25 is not too bad. When you mean they close at 12... do you mean closed closed or do they stop letting people in by then?
