Im just messing with you im sure we have some hardcoreeeee fans around here.
Me, and you forgot the person who listens to the hardest music in the whole world (Noisician), although he's a bit beyond hardcore
There are plenty of threads about hardcore, trancecore... you'd get many recommendations using the search engine
we are few and proud.
Adress Se Qui is my fravorite thunderdome hardcore back in 97'
I do.
Don't care much for newstyle, but in the darkcore/industrial parts of hardcore nowadays there are still things worth listening to. Just bought Ophidian - Blackbox on CD, great stuff even though the VIP Edit of Butterfly is better + a handful of the tracks sound more like schranz and shitty gabber than good darkcore. Looking for some Delta 9 albums now (Disco Inferno and Revolution 909), and I've also been considering to buy some of the Enzyme Xs, even though I don't DJ. And of course Guillaume Leroux aka Dr.Macabre is always quality. I could go on
I am hardcore mate! DJ Promo is one of my fave gabber producers along with DJ Nosferatu! :-)
get in touch if you wanna chat about Gabber etc.
Today's hardcore does not really interest me anymore, but I've listened to every day for a few years in the past, and had my fair share of hardcore parties (starting from '95 until '97 or so..)
I still like to put on a CD from that time every now and then.. Just skipped through Heroes of Hardcore - Buzz Fuzz, and there's not a single track on it I don't like.. It even contains one of three hardcore records I have on vinyl (Chosen Few - Name of the DJ)..
Maybe I'll start collecting more of that old stuff some time, it's still good every now and then
basd, aint "Summertime" and "Fly Away" by Buzz Fuzz, amazing tracks?

Main reason why I like it is cos what they make is so varied. Good example of this is how Hellfish pointed out that hip hop changed his way of making hardcore permanently. If you then proceed to listen to tracks like Turntable Savage and Bring On The Hurricane Pain, you'll see what he means

i am more of a terrorhead when it comes to hardcore music. otherwise i'm mostly into noise and death industrial these days.
i think i have to say deathchant is one of the most advanced hardcore labels there is.. always has been ahead of the game.. and not a single release has been crap.
back when i spun hardcore from 93 upto 97 deathchant was the label of choice.. i have numbers 1 - 17 in my attic. other labels include skrewface, torment, industrength ofcourse
, bloody fist, cenobyte, and a few mokums. i was never a dutchie gabber jock, as i find the dutch stuff wayyy too cheesy.
id say the perfect sound for me was/is the uk hard techno.. i.e deathchants early rel's... stuff on area 51 recs
*dangles delta 9 - disco inferno EP infront of noisicians nose* bwahahahaha

oh yes lenny dee's infamous industrial strength. every release on that label was pure quality. bloody fist too. cenobyte. list goes on. [N]k|[Z] im glad to see a well educated hardcore fan!
why has hiphop influenced hardcore so much? i mean i know tons of hardcore djs spun hiphop long before hardcore even existed. for example rob gee, as much as i dislike him. he spun hiphop when he was just a tiny kid, then suddenly hit the hardcore sound.

Don't know a whole lot of Hardcore. I played after Omar Santana once. I wasn't really a fan of the style, but I respect him as a dj and as a person. He is definitely a good dj and was really cool and humble. As far as the style, I didn't mind it for a little while, but it became a little overwhelming for me after a while. I try to be as open minded as possible about music and wouldn't call it bad music, but it is not really my style. I wouldn't mind a mixture of d&b and hardcore. Like hardcore sounds on a broken beat rather than 4 on the floor.
