Arsenal Invincible

The records just keep on falling!!! 43 games unbeaten breaking Nottingham forest's 42 game unbeaten run. This team is truly one of the all time greatest, having achieved and broken practically every domestic record there is. Well done to the mighty Arsenal!

They are truly a great side. I've always been a fan of their style of play, but since Reyes and Cesc joined them last season I started keeping closer attention. I would say both of them have settled in nicely, I hope they can keep it up.

Wenger is truly brilliant, even though he talked bad about Real, I have alot of respect for him as a footballing expert because I'd say 90% of that squad is that good thanks to his brains.

we'll beat them

Dude... any team that is undefeated in 43 straight games is one of the greatest of all time... arsenal or not. give credit where credit is due.

I think the current arsenal team is awsome, and is the BEST arsenal team to have ever played. I don't think they are they greatest team in england yet, they still have a lot of work to do. Arsene wenger is a brilliant manager though.

Manchester united supporter here.

Henry is playing great lately. And the rest of the team too. I wouldn't be surprised if they win the league again.

3 games in and already thinkign they are going to win the league, why do people always count their chickens, wait till christmas!!!!

Are you that bitter? All he said was that he wouldn't be surprised if they win the league again this year. I bet you all the MU fans were saying that last August.

Its nothing to do with being bitter, its about arrogance. I don't see why people just can not just wait and see how the season unfolds. Personally i would rather see a different team win it other than man utd or arsenal. If i were that bitter i would have not have complimented arsenal on their achievements, get your facts right.

I think Chelsea will push them all the way this season. I'm tipping Chelsea to win the league but it's going to be close either way.

Arsenal are scoring for fun but they are conceding goals without Vieira and Campbell. Chelsea haven't conceded in 3 games and still have several big guns to introduce and several players still finding their feet, as well as the manager. Give Drogba and Kezman some time to get used to their teammates and the English game, put Robben and Duff in the side and I believe they will look very potent going forward and they already look difficult to score past.

It was just a comment. And it would have been arrogance if I was an Arsenal fan. That's not the case.

The match against Boro was one of the best matches I have seen in a while.

Watching their match against Norwich right now. Controlled the whole first half. Brought their pace down now in the 62nd min. Norwich scored on a penalty. Pascal is not in so Hoyt is in who conceded the penalty.

One thing I must say. Arsenal could take out Henry, Pires and Freddy and they will still have a good side.

Fabregas, Bentlay(on loan), Pennant, Flamini are all

Scoring goals almost at will! What about Bergkamp's finish Already premiership looking like a two horse race.

Bentley is a fantastic player also (on loan at Norwich). If Bergkamp does decide to retire at the end of this season, then he could come straight into the fold.

Bergkamp is class. One of the players I respect completly. Currently him and probably Maldini are players I will respect for ever. I am an Inter fan who wanted him to stay and wish he still played for us.

Bentley if he can keep his mouth shut will become the best English player in the world. He is

hehehehehe I read somewhere that he reckons that he would have no problems cracking into the current Arsenal team and that he can't stand Wenger's policy of wrapping up the youngetrs coming through in cotton wool. Hopefully though, he will come back next season a much more mature player.

Posted by A.J. on Aug-30-2004 09:30:

Anyone else think that Bergkamp has really bounced back well from some average form a couple of seasons ago?

He was looking a bit over the hill, but he has played extremely well in the past season or so, and it seems like he is still a bloody awesome player.
His passing game and through balls are absolutely brilliant, and he can still come up with some stunning goals.

Go Bergkamp!!!

a team with good subs is chelski! there are two reasons i think they'll win, they have a wide squad and a very solid defence...they also showed how to attack last match (against southampton).
btw fabregas is f***** good, he's 17? and plays like he have been in pl for several years

Posted by evil_bastard on Aug-30-2004 16:40:

People keep talking about how Wenger 'discovered' Fabregas, I even read a BBC article saying that he 'unearthed' him. He was already rated Barcelona's brightest young prospect, Wenger basically poached him from them like he did with Flamini from Marseille who were also livid about it. Man Utd poached a 16 yr old defender from Barcelona this summer as well.

Smaller clubs have more trouble simply nicking players, as Newcastle have discovered with N'Zogbia from French club Le Havre, we went in for him the same time as Arsenal went for Flamini from Marseille, but Flamini is already playing for Arsenal and we haven't even got our player yet, we could be waiting months before we see him even though he has signed a contract with us.

Posted by Peter K on Aug-31-2004 01:45:

Arsenal hasn't exactly gone 43 games undefeated, the lost late last season in the FA cup and the Champions leage. Saying they are invincible is incorrect

great show by the ref there, single handedly fucked the game up. I wouldn't have minded a fair win, but that was an awful performance from Riley, the guys a wanker

if you referring to the penalty he awarded us remember that cole bought down scholes in the box which was a definate penalty and riley didnt give it ...

Even if that was a penalty (and I think it was Ronaldo not Scholes) the damage was already done. The game was decided by an incredibly bad call. and u must admitt that United was clearly more "lucky" with the referees decisions..
