Bangin Prog

Anyone out there able to recommend me some bangin prog such as stuff similar to tracks to The MFA - Motherload and any tracks similar to Ozgur Can's bangin style?

Thanks.

Ooohh how clever of you... nothing like taking over a thread and making it a big ol' flame war eh?

Nathan Fake has some great productions that you may like, James Harcourt if you can find some tracks from him.. dark bangin' stuff. You could also check out anything by Dousk, Shmuel Flash, or Chab... all kinds of good stuff out there.

Starkid - Crayons 2004(Leama & Moor In Loving Memory of Starkid Mix, MV Rmx)
Tilt - The World Doesn't Know
Lolo - Why?

Cheers...

Yes, definitely. Very underrated producer/dj with a great production style. In addition to Steve Porter, I'd also recommend:

Bill Hamel
Ortus
Andy Moor (esp. his older tracks)
Lemon8
Blackwatch (esp. his remixes)

I tried the JH rmx of fakes track, but didn't really take it as bangin tbh mate, lacked the energy it'd need.

It's not 'bangin' that much, but if u play it at about 137bpm Tetraflux - Okinawan is very nice

Posted by Cobalt on Aug-30-2004 21:44:

Oh, you mean progressive trance?

Try Chab and DJ Nukem. I concur that OMB - Whiteroom kicks ass.

Not to be too critical, but that's some of the fluffiest stuff ever called progressive. Not really "banging" at all in my opinion.

Agreed, then again, how much prog actually is bangin, in the sense that theres a lot softer normal trance & techno stuff that isn't classified like that

Would it be amiss if I reccomended tracks like Tenth Chapter - Wired and DJ Remy - Pumped Up?

Armin Van Buuren - Sunburn (Jamie Anderson Remix)

im guessing bangin prog, is prog that has a strong bassline/noticeable kick that hits strong/hard after a the breaks.

Posted by Ory on Aug-30-2004 22:26:

Sasha - Bloodlock (Luke Chable Remix)

It's breakbeat, but the bass is just... thumpin'.

Posted by SugarShack on Aug-30-2004 22:33:

Anything by Pig & Dan

I don't think that's Luke Chable... I know which remix you mean, it was released on the b-side to Chable's remix of Cloud Cuckoo, but it's by someone else... name escapes me at the moment.

Ah, ok. Hope we can get this straightened out. I love that remix of Bloodlock.
