you-you're getting really annoying. aaaaaand your breath stinks like ass. oh yeah, and... *sigh* you, really aren't attractive anymore...

Ohhhh I don't know why I'm admitting this.

The last girl I dated seriously before my current relationship had a huge problem with some of my choices in friends and partying activities (particularly coke). I told her that I'd quit for good and that I wouldn't ever do it again, and she subsequently told me that if she found out that I did that she would break up with me. Well, lo and behold, I kept doing it but I never told her about it and she never found out. Then one day when I could tell our relationship really wasn't progressing to where it should be and it was pretty much stale I decided to tell her I'd done it a couple nights before to see what she'd say and if she'd break up with me.

She did.

I'm a dick.

Welcome to dumpsville, population you...

Worked for me.

I told her I was going out for a pack of cigarettes and then drove 3000 miles to my previous home.

That's hilarious. Sounds like something I would do, if I did coke. But if a girl said the same for E or something, I would use that out. Makes you blame free. I usually figure out the best way to break it to them easy, or I just avoid them for a while. I know that is terrible, but it usually works.

I might agree with that.

Tell her you can't take it anymore and cry like a baby. Like on Seinfeld when George wanted to extend his engagement and not get married 'till Spring rather than that Winter.

Posted by Arbiter on Sep-29-2004 21:54:

How about acting like a calm, sane, rational person and just being honest? It has always seemed to work for me. I'll never understand these people who have to end their relationships with some cheesy line or elaborate story. You're a real person, you know: not a comic book character.

Fake you're own suicide

or

Tell her you're planning on becoming a priest (don't mention you're dreams of young boys)

Her husband told me I couldn't see her anymore, so it ended.

i was dating this guy in HS who told me he couldnt see me anymore cause he thought he was asexual. weak excuse, IMO, but i wasnt all that emotionally wrapped up in him so it was ok.

What a prick. Who does he think he is?

I tell her that i love her but the other girl im having sex with has bigger tits.

Posted by DjSimonB on Sep-29-2004 22:01:

Last time I had to do that, it was just something like 'I just don't think it's gonna work'. Simple, works.

So he honestly thought that he could reproduce on his own?

I think I'll agree with Arbiter here - find the most honest way to do it. When a relationship is over (which you know it is by this point) then it's all clear for honesty - confess how you truly feel about that person and their habits. Sure, it may get violent, but a little self-defense trainign never hurt anybody! Err, wait... on second thought...

Posted by loca on Sep-29-2004 22:12:

I had this problem where the last 2 guys i was breaking up with didn't believe me
I'd be like: "Seriously, this is not working out, i don't like you anymore..." Them: "Ahahahaha okay"
Like wtf?! So i just left the first one (went to the states) and sent the second one home (made him take the plane back to the states) and never talked to either of them again.

Hehe

I guess it does work

Posted by Mebot on Sep-29-2004 22:16:

I got on a plane and flew back home, it was simple and easy... well for me at least.

Yes, leaving the country does indeed work...

...or at least it worked for my Exes.
