Yes, in 2001 in Spain. I took a bottle home (back then it was only legal in spain). It is very yummy, but not much different than Pernod. I still have some left of that bottle.

and -wow- maxim articles such majorly. What "reinvasion" of Prague? Afaik, the russians marched through the Czech Republic the last time it was occupied.

Why would you ever want to do shots with Absenta? It is supposed to be drunk with sugar and water...

i was going to try absinthe at burning man this year, but the absinthe camp was on the other end of the city, so i never made it over there. maybe i'll try it next year... i'm definitely curious.

That shit tastes like... well... SHIT! Basically put 1 part absinthe, 1 part water, 3 parts sugar lol.

My friend and I tried everything to make it taste better... melted sugar into it, chewed a mouthful of gummy bears while drinking it, drank juice as a chaser, mixed it with ice cream (HORRIBLE IDEA)... I basically got really really trashed from it. Peoples' faces looked like they were melting.

Nevertheless, you do get pretty fucked...yet same goes with Smirnoff Blue Label. Its the percentage that matters...

Tried it a couple of times back home over the summer ... a friend of mine got it from australia ... that stuff tastes like shite whether you mix sugar with it or not and the high is very different from the normal alcohol buzz .. this kinda makes your head ache and makes your vision cloudy .... i made the single biggest mistake of having a triple shot of it during the afternoon ... couldnt get the taste out of my mouth till the next morning

They must have added something else to it because Thujone, the active ingredient in Wormwood (Artemesia absinthe) isn't strong enough of a psychedelic to cause anything but mild hallucinations.

Well, Mad dog 20/20 taste like ass too but I wouldn't allow it to dissuade me from enjoying good vintage wine.

^^ my bottle in the kitchen... i was drunk one night and ordered it,.. that was dumb... just try it over in Europe where its cheaper, i liked it better there anyway

Even in Europe the good stuff is very hard to find, but it's sure to be a hell of a lot cheaper than here in the States.
