Thumbs up Sasha

Sorry if I am a little late on this apperiation thread but I was listening to my Involer vinyls this morning( had them since June ) and it finally struck me how f#ckin beautiful this work is.

I was really listening to all the layers and patterns of each song and its amazing!!

Sasha is brilliant !!

You know what.. i think Sasha is good.Too.

Posted by Quinders on Oct-14-2004 14:29:

Yeah it's a very good album alright. The production is excellent. The only thing is it's not just Sasha who has produced Involver but a sort of production team (Sasha, Charlie May, Barry Jamieson, Simon Wright). How much of Involver Sasha himself has produced is a bit of a mystery.

Welcome brother Piazza ... we've been expecting you!!

Posted by NiteMer on Oct-14-2004 14:52:

Charlie May has co-produced just about every Sasha track out there.
Fantastic cd. I don't have the vinyl, at least not yet, but I have the cd and the tracks are great. It's amazing how much he pushes the boudaries.

Posted by Dave Piazza on Oct-14-2004 14:58:

What other tunes should I check out if I like spooky?

btw I also like songs like Veznia's wadi and alive

The Youngsters- Smile gets me dancing everytime I hear it!

is there anyone out there that has something bad to say about sasha? i think he's been the most consistant dj over the years...always pics great tracks...always top mixing...always banging

Oh trust me, there are fools like that

As for most consistent. I disagree. Sasha's my favourite DJ, but he's not that consistent. From what I've read on forums over the years, thats the one thing that people really hold against him. He's not consistent, and I have to agree. His ADD tour show was ho-hum, but the time I saw him last year (Labour of Love, just after Creamfields) was the best party of my life.

As far as consistent DJ's go; I think Digweed is high up on that list.

And my fav. track off Involver is Grand National - Talk Amognst Yourselves (All the tracks are on almost equal level though)

Lostep - Burma is probably my favorite off involver. he was one of the first dj's that i saw and helped to get me hooked.

great album, and whatever input sasha actually had we'll never know for sure

and as for his sets ive seen him 3 times this summer and he's been brilliant each time

Me too..got me dancing every time too.. At first i thought i was kinda boring..but it really has a simple and effective melody to it.

Everytime i took the train, i kept moving my body around to the tune when i listen to it....and everyone just looks at me like i'm a hobo high on heroin or something..good stuff.
