tranceaddicts?

Do you think the name of this website is kinda miss leading? I say that becuase alot of us talk about other forms of dance music other than trance ( i.e techno, progressive,etc.).


Do you think the name should change to reflect that?

I hear what you're saying but I think that tranceaddict is such an established name that it should stay. People clubbing the whole world over are familiar with this website and it's such an easy name to pass on to people even when they are in a state, lol

Yeah, and the music brings us into trance anyways.

its like coca-cola changing its name after they removed coca from the syrup. it won't happen because its a brand-name.

See what your saying mate, but thats what i love about it, it might be called Tranceaddict but there are so many other genres that are covered here

btw, apparently Trance.nu has the biggest community trance wise in the entire world, I think thats a load of bollocks, plz someone clarify :P

it would be impossible to change it, its got too much of a good ring to it

has t.nu got more than 39,385 members?

i think not. and its probably the reason they don't display how many members they do have, as well as adding 'probably' to the front of 'the best trance community on the net'.

Thats like changing, for example, a Nintendo forums name because a lot of people also like Playstation.

The whole point of tranceaddict.com is to discuss trance, and if other things/styles are discussed, thats a bonus.

that includes people who have signed up for extras like web-redirection etc I think... not 100% sure though. Del's is just forum members. Just look at the number online between the 2 sites and you can tell which is bigger tho

oh and to answer the question it doesn't need changing. If people move onto prog or something they can deal with it, or join another site more like minded to them, it's all about trance here, all variations and if that's not good enough then they shouldn't be here

there's spinoffs like progaddict/houseaddict/breaksaddict and the elitist boards like GU who are 99.9% snobs, but the reason most people use TA is simply due to the continued efforts of everyone who carry on making it the best, theres more twats about yes, it's changed a lot in 4 years, but at the end of the day it's a recognised name now and theres great ppl if you look hard enough

just call it TA, sounds kinda like tits and ass anyways, then you avoid secifying any genre.

I'd agree with you - it seems your opinion matters according to the length of time you've been on this website.

im sure if people didnt like trance in some form they wouldnt bother haunting the forums with their prescence.

and if you get too picky about the name, we could enlist trancerehab.com for all those that have moved on from trance
