WOW (World Of Warcraft) anyone?

The sign up for the open beta of this amazing new massive multiplayer online game will soon be open so I was just wondering if any of you TA's are planning on signing up for the beta or even buying this game?

Yeah the closed beta tests really are finished. But the sign ups for the new round of open beta tests will be open soon, this time a lot more people will get the chance to test the game. The purpose of this is to see how the game and the servers handle a big amount of players.

The whole idea of the open beta is that every one who signs up for it will eventually get the chance to play the game for a few weeks, like a demo of some sort. After you sign up you receive an email which tells you your account password/cd key and the link where you can download the beta. After you finish downloading the game you log into the server you choose or the server you were asked to and start playing. If you come by some bugs or other significant problems you must report about that to the game masters or the developers.

I've been checking Blizz's site every day since they announced the open beta. I'm hyped about it.

I might buy it, based on what I think of it while playing the Beta (I'm not sure if everyone who applies can play though).

You can play whenever you want as long as there isn't a server problem or something.

Ahh, my mistake. I thought you were asking about the retail version. Anyway, all you need to do is download the game (they've been using bittorrent for this).

cant wait for open to begin, though i dont know if i will buy it when it goes retail.
Something about paying monthly fee, i will keep thinking iam wasting money whenever i aint playing it.

As a side note, another mmorpg that is created by ex-blizzard staff is a game called "guildwars"
super game, tried it during one of the open beta sessions. Big difference is that it is not going to be on a subscription basis. Though they will release addons that can be purchased every now and again.
Worth checkin out if you feel the same way i do about monthly subscriptions

Haha, sorry but there are no two headed ogres as charters in this game, though im sure there are in the game as monsters.

Holy Crap , Guildwars looks incredible!
Never heard of it but am looking forward just after seeing the screenshots.

As far as a name for warcraft , I think im gonna go with "lord kicks all forms of ass JR."and i have not played warcraft for a while but i think i remember really liking the Dead race(forgot the name)

I didn't think I would be this disappointed to see the closed beta end.

Ah well, at least they aren't wiping the characters from closed.

they proposed it in april but as an april fools joke. i recon they might add it as a patch since the ideas they came out with everyone loved.
