It's official...Americans are morons

What is WRONG with you people? Do you not see the dangers of this man? Has Vietnam not taught you a lesson? Can you not see that this "war" in Iraq is only one to gain control in the region for OIL? This "fear" of terrorism is blown way out of proportion and made worse by these stupid "yellow, orange" alerts. He lied to you about Iraq's WMD...he has tried time and time again to convince you that Saddem Hussein and Osama Bin laden were working together, WHICH THEY WERE NOT! Given time, more Americans will be killed in Iraq defending terrorism they CREATED by going in than were killed on September 11th 2001.

Your economy is suffering under this man and his obsolete ideals. You have lost 2 million jobs...your dollar is weaker than ever. This man will give the rich huge tax breaks, block any form of government funded healthcare, stop you from buying cheaper Canadian drugs, allow industrial corporations to pollute your air. He will scale back civi liberties in the Patriot Act (what a deceiving name). He is going to interfere with women's right to choose which has been set down in LEGAL PRECEDENT since 1973!

I ask again....WHY DID YOU VOTE THIS MAN BACK INTO POWER? The world is laughing at your stupidity but also nervous for the future. What will he get everyone into this time?

To the 55+ million people who voted for change and common sense, I applaud you. Rally your forces and bring America back to the great nation it can be in 2008.

There's a bit of an ironic statement for you there. How many folks are in poverty nowadays again? 4 million and counting in 4 years? Ah fuck 'em, bring on more tax cuts!

If you live in the USA, please comment about how you felt about the election. If you livee there, you have a utter 100% right to speak. However, if you live in a place other than the USA, please be conversative and reserve your words.

Just Chill... you can't predict what's gonna happen in the future, definitely all of us hope for the best. Try and ask questions, however, try and not incite anger or hatred... we've had enough of this bullshit in the 2000's.

If I may intervene here just for a moment, I think you may know by now that I'm not exactly what you would call a Bush supporter. However I do think you have a bit of an exaggerated viewpoint of things:

I really hope you don't think this was our primary reason for going to war with Iraq and Afghanistan. There are numerous reasons that can be argued against Bush's intentions and actions for war, but honestly this "war for oil" argument is the weakest. Some of the more convincing arguments against Bush-

-Wanting to invade Iraq to keep his image as a war-time president (which is my current highest reason for his re-election)

-Geopolitical dominance (or as the neocons would say, "stabilization")

-Take our eye off the current domestic problems

All have merit and are worth an argument, but the "war for oil" one, I just don't think that holds water too long.

In all fairness, you should be blaming Clinton for creating NAFTA in the first place, as well as many Dems. for allowing the exportation of jobs to flourish. This was nothing new before Bush came into offic, though he certainly has exasterbated the problem with his corporate tax loopholes big enough to drive a mac truck through.

One reason could be that they're blindly religious and vote on issues like abortion or gay marriages (which Kerry opposes by the way)...aren't there more IMPORTANT reasons to vote than just that?

Don't think there's enough statistics to even come to a conclusion to that, mec. Statistics are tools of manipulated used by people with political power, or are winning to gain political power.

Even though from pure guestanumerical values, the two would be even, well sorta ... give or take 10%. But, it's just a guess...

Iraq is not the only issue in this election, as much as the world wants to think that way.

Ignore smitty, he lives in a shit city in Ontario known for really nothing. He does not live in America nor hold American citizenship, so he cannot vote and thus his opinion really means nada in terms of this election.

I personally applaud Bush for at least standing up for his supposed beliefs, so many people are bowing to public pressure, like our lameass Prime Minister, who is a Catholic yet wants to legalize samesex marriages. I rather have a leader, where you know that he or she stands firm on this issue because then you know, at least that person has the balls to take that stand.

America is awake smitty, I thought that more people got involved in learning which person represented their views the best and voted for them and more youths got out and voted. I think America is not asleep anymore and I think that you will see more outcry in the USA, with the decisions that happen.

Now if you want to go on and on about the American Foreign Policy and the problems with Iraq and other places and about how America just wants oil, then go ahead. I thought we have pointed out that it has not been proven that America is after the oil. Next time, you want to state something, don't use lameass verbatim (today's fave saying), say something with some substance behind the reasons, not just raw hatred.

I agree with the topic. I resent his rascist ideas. He is a threat for the world. I can't imagane how blind you must be to see what kind of man he is. I accept the opinions of the ppl even if can't understand it.

In our country, there is a separation between church and state. A legislator should not rule by his religious beliefs.

But your beliefs govern how you act and the same goes for Bush, Kerry and everyone else. You can't isolate your beliefs from yourself, in least in my view. What you believe in and what your core beliefs are, govern how you act and interact with others. I don't buy the argument of Church and State can be separated. If you had an atheist leader, his beliefs are still technically "his religion", so should'nt he separate his beliefs. I just think the argument about the separation of church and state is a lame way to say to Christians that you cannot govern a country by your beliefs. That's what I think but you know extremely well that church and state won't ever really be separated anywhere.

It is a matter of opinion, if you believe Bush started those wars and it is also a best guess, if you think he will attack North Korea. North Korea has enough problems as it is, and I doubt military wars are in its future, half their people are starving to death because they have no food. Now he has not attacked Iran, so that's guesswork as well. You can say all you want about Bush, but you don't live in America, so you don't understand good or bad what he has done to the country. You just judge him on his foreign policy and the same goes with the rest of the world.
