aka its only-djs.com with a different name to avoid all the bankruptcy problems etc... like bonzai going bust or no end of other things, it's the same store, diff url

That is only somewhat correct. 4 DJ's Only is a brand new shop with some similarities to Only-DJ's. A few things that seperate them is

1) It's being run by someone who knows what their doing.

2) Shipping fees are the same as Dancegrooves and Recess and the records are cheaper to buy AND are shipped faster.

3) As of January 1st, it will be the cheapest record shop in Holland.

If you made shipping rates to the USA similar to Juno or Chemical I would consider moving my vinyl purchases to your store.

the magik remix of sparkles is amazing. I love it still. One of my favorites of all time.

The problem with any Holland based Vinyl Shop is when it comes to shipping outside of Holland, everything is shipped first to UK, then to the desired location. That is why places like Juno and Chemical ship for less, because they're already based in UK. However, if you consider buying more than one vinyl, the difference in price evens out. Sadly there's not much that could be done, it's just the way things are. Blame Holland!

Yea, I order from DanceGrooves quite regularly, but only when I am going to make a large order (15+). With an order that big with shipping it comes out to be about $10-$11 per record which is about the same I'd pay in a record shop.

Whats wrong with using ordinary Airmail?? Rather than all the registered/express/courier type express.

Dancegrooves = 3 days delivery at minimum 20 Euro postage
Chemical = 5 days delivery at minimum 2 pounds postage.

I think a NL based store would be very successful if they just used regular airmail.

Remember. Its all about speedshipments and trackable packages. (Service) But we will activate a worldpriority shipment for Europe & America this week. Means low speed shipments and no trackable packages. i dont think people are willing to wait 2 weeks for their records! Conclusion: dated records for your gigs!

Purchasing 1 record + shipment is expensive on every single webshop. The more you order, the cheaper the shipment!

Pascal...I'm glad to hear that you will be back up and running. Of course Terry has had the website link on his MSN name for the past few days so I had already checked out your site. I wish for you much deserved success in all that you do.

Couldnt a gree more. There are a number of people (myself included) who dont mind waiting 2 weeks for records. Having that option available would be great and I couldnt see what trouble/s it could cause the record shop.

no need to wait 2weeks
it'd be more like 10days max
from NL -> UK -> AUS

yep your right.. i've ordered quite a few times from stores located in netherlands sent by regular mail and it took less than a week each time to get here. this is pretty much the same amount of time it would normally take for me to get something sent by rapid air from dancegrooves, however it only cost 9 euro compared to the 34 euro to send by rapid air!

i know for sure that i would start ordering from dancegrooves/4djsonly if they started offering a regular mail service. at the moment i just cant justify paying such an extreme shipping charge to order from these sites as i dont order massive amounts of records in one go..

seriously guys..

this is important... you run an online business, and you hear constructive criticism on these boards from people who buy your products.. that is more assistance then most stores get from their public... I think your business units need to seriously sit down and think how much extra business they will gain from offering normal postage to international customers, and realise that it is definately worthwhile, and will work as a win-win for both customers and the store..

(just my 2cents)

I would have ordered from the Holland stores (mainly OnlyDJs) several times if they had reasonable trans-Atlantic shipping. It's a major issue for me.

*The one and only reason I have never ordered a record from only-djs.com was the ridiculously expensive shipping to north america.
I know there are a lot of people feeling the same. Customers at least need to be given an option. Otherwise they'll just keep it simple and order from Chemical. You guys NEED to get on this to increase your business!

for me in the uk its not just the cost of delivery that puts me off.
its also the fact that i'm never home when records are delivered, which is fine with the normal postal system as i just go to the local post office to pick them up, but with these special delivery services the place i'd have to go to pick them up is 30 miles away!
