F*ck Rogers
Here is a bonifide legit complaint.
So my credit card company sends me a new credit card because apparently i had used it at a place that got busted for double swiping. So they issue me a new card.
Rogers has been automatically billing the old card since i started the contract. I forgot to tell them the new card number. OOPS! Well the DAY AFTER the due date for the bill i started getting automated calls asking me to call them about the account. They would call at 8 am and 9 at night. It got me really pissed off so i didnt call. Screw them, its only been a few days. So on day 5 finally a live person calls right in the middle of the check out line at the supermarket. I told them that it wasnt a good time and to call later. She kept insisting that i had to talk to her and it was urgent so finally i just hung up. Today (day 7) i get a call saying that if i dont pay it will go to a collection agency.
Now, considering its ONLY BEEN A WEEK and considering that the service IS PRE PAID meaning im paying for next month, they have quite the nerve. Not only am i buying out my contract and switching but COnsumers Affairs Canada will be getting a nice little letter about this.
Fuck Rogers. As if my $50 being a day late is going to make them shut down or something....

sue them
honestly, that would piss me off BIG TIME too!
i cant use my credit card with rogers at all, cause the adress of the credit card (my adress in sweden) doesnt match the adress rogers have for me here
and everytime you want your account balance with rogers, you have to go trough like 3 steps to get it, same thing with my swedish provider would just have been to call a number and then get the account balance 1 second later... here it takes at least 1 min 30 sec...
there is a lot of other things that annoys me with them, but we can certainly conclude that:
Rogers sucks

I have to admit, Roger's billing procedures are F@#$@in' hell to set up and change...
I feel your greif Jayx1...
For instance, I moved from Barrie to Toronto and phoned to have my account MOVED.
At the same time, I purchase two cells phones and a TV package.
First of all, what do they do with my Internet account?
They F%$@#in' KILL my Barrie account and setup a new account!! WTF???
Of course I loose everything on my Roger's website, including a lot of personal artwork.
Next, they send only 1 cellphone??? When mine (the other was for the wifey) finally did come (3 weeks later), it was a different version.
I specifically ordered 2 colour cell phones; the EXACT same phones.
Yet they send me this green screen piece of S#@*.
Took another week to get that right.
THEN, the billing...omfg...the billing.
I don't understand how they can get the name of the cell phone owner correct but not the billing name. It's the SAME NAME for both
In short, they're BRUTAL until you call them like 3 million times to make minor changes etc....
Bah...sometimes monopolies suck...
I hate such companies....Amex is the same, even if u owe them 10 bucks and are delinquent just once....next statement has CC services will be interupted until the bill is cleared written in big bold letters...
What they fail to see is that I have been a customer for 5 yrs and have missed just one payment..some customer service
Rogers is a suck.
I did a changeover from my old cell which was busted to a newwer one cuz it'd be cheaper than repairing the other...
they billed me for both phones... AND overcharged me.
Not just that, but you wanna guess how much they overcharged?
I changed Nov last year. I get a bill in January of this year with an outstanding balance of $900!!!!!!!!!!
f**kers.... that was a phone tag battle I finally won in the end... turns out I only had to pay like 200... including the purchase of the new phone...

LONG LIVE FIDO !!!
and i don't care that they're owned by Rogers now .. u think them being bought makes this any better either!?

Where the hell is our over regulating government? They like to ban this and ban that yet they allow harrassing phone calls and irresposible practices like this.

Oooor, you could have straightened things out (however inconvenient to you it may have been) and not had any troubles in the first place. It's "only been a week"? So what? It's your job to pay on time, and it was your job to inform them of the card change, and it was your job to call them about the account. You failed. Suffer with the consequences of your inactions.

| Originally posted by Nemireck Doesn't matter, they called and told him to call them about the account. He chose not to because the calls were "annoying". Normaly I would agree, phone calls that early and that late at night (mainly the early) are calls I just pick up, and hang up. But there was a problem with his account due to his forgetting to notify them of the card change. He could have called when they requested it and fixed things up, instead he got annoyed. Then they called him, and he hung up on them. He could have fixed it all up, and he chose not to because he's stubborn and anti-authoritarian. Now he'll have to deal with it. |
