Anyone has informations for this track? Release date? Has anyone a sample? Is this as good as the first C Sharp was?

Tell me it isn't true

ffs. when will they learn to leave stuff alone.

tbf this is the result of a) DJ downloading (note only DJ, i don't believe in the impact of specialist music filesharing when the people involved would never buy the tracks anyway) b) no inspiration within a tired genre.

I guess you all are a lil' confused

Tomonari & Tommy Pi - C Sharp 2004 should have been released in December, but the release has been postponed to January, so thats why C Sharp 2004 is going to be called C Sharp 2005

i didn't know there would be a 2005 remix of that track...But... don't know why, i have the premonition that it will be less good than the original, following the example of Twixt 2004 which is average compared with the original...Just my opinion...Sometimes, the old and simple style is more effective....but maybe i am totally wrong and it will be a killer! I hope so

the remake and remixes from schulz & porcell are trash, nothing more. The Alphazone is best but that's only cos it's very similar to the SHOKK Rmx of Altitude - Altitude. All in all people have got to stop raping the classics before there's none left.

Agreed.

the problem comes with 'how' we get the message through that we don't want anymore remakes

i think the sollution is that we must not buy them! :-)

i just got the in trance we trust sampler with the original c sharp!
it's still by far the best version! but the remake and alphazone rmx aren't that bad...but not worth a purchase if you have the original!

exactly. With all due respect to the producers who're trying to make it in the business here, taking a classic shouldn't be the way to do it to make a name. The problem will be that in 10 years every classic has been remade so much that nobody cares about the originals and that will be so wrong

But, if they touch any of the first 3 gouryella tunes, I will be mad

Posted by 303 on Dec-09-2004 23:20:

its the same in every genre it feels like, new artists trying to get ahead by remakes of olassics, even in the movie business we can clearly see this. rarely do they make an impact tho.

to be honest i really enjoyed the mike shiver rmx of "C-Sharp 04", tho i would love to hear the Alphazone rmx aswell, i still haven't heard the original.

Yepp it's right... C-Sharp 2005 was supposed to be C-Sharp 2004 but there were many problems like with the distributor so the release was delayed until 2005 that's why it's gonna be called C-Sharp 2005

For samples click here: http://www.tommy-pi.de/projects.html

I love this song!!!

Hi @ all

first i want to say, that the track was finished in April 2003 because we just wanted to make a rework for fun (for my radio show) but then Johan Gielen played it at the beginning of this year in his Lift Off show and so some lables wanted to release it

The release date was set for 26th of July but then Alphamagic UK went bankrupt and we had to search for a new distributor.

The new one is Amato-Distribution and the "new" promos are finished and the release will be 2nd or 3rd week in january now (Amato said so )

NGE is right, for samples just check my homepage (projects sections)

Last thing: I know that many people hate remakes/reworks whatever, but we tried to do a package with as many styles as possible that's why we have remixers like Markus Schulz, Mike Shiver, Alphazone and Tom Porcell (also a Skywarp Artist).

If you still doesn't like any of these mixes, ok, it's up to you

btw: Benno and Blackhole records listened to the track before we did anything with it and they like it

Still any questions ???

for me, the original "C Sharp" was and still is on my top 10 greatest trance tunes of all time list. I can listen to it for hours on end on repeat and never get tired of it.

Though, I must admit that with remakes, it's always a hit and miss situation. Some are great and some are not. It also depends on how overplayed the tune was to begin with. "Delirium - the Silence" was soooo overplayed that just when I thought it was going to be finally burried, they brought it back! I am so sick of hearing this tune - I am ready to punch someone when I hear it. I hope this doesn't happen to C-Sharp.

one way or the other I will buy it anyway... will the release contain the original mix? Just in case?

He he, no sorry

Tommy, just downloaded your set - sweet set and awesome mixing! I tried reading the stuff on your webpage but it's all in german! I had to use google translation to understand . You should try reading it in english translation from german - it's really funny in some parts where it doesn't translate well.
