****ing Steam!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to use that piece of shiat even to play single player of HL2. What tha fuck? To add to the heat, I also lost my Steam account password and they still haven't sent me my verification code over e-mail. And no, I will not use another e-mail for new account. I have enough spam as it is.

Wait a second. When somebody buys Halo 2, they HAVE to register their game via the internet or phone or mail before they can play?

HL2 = Half Life 2.

I could care less about Halo, stupid game anyway.

For HL2, you have to register via internet, which is unfair to people who don't have it.

Dude, dont pay for single player games, whats the matter with you. Get a buddy to "get" it for you, that way you dont have to deal with Steam at all

I would say the layout, organization and concept of steam is marvelous, but the fact that it crashes, errors and cannot keep up with the demand makes it horrible, sierra should spend as much time as blizzard to remove glitches and errors, then we'd have a happy community .

Valve is the maker of the game. Sierra was the publisher of HL1.

While I am typing right now, I have to wait for a 40-fucking-minute update, just to play single player. I have like 6 megabit connection at my house and the latest PC gear. I aalready like in the middle of the game. It a constant several hour fuck-session with Steam. Those retarded morons at Valve don't realize that it was already hacked through and those who have pirated the game, don't have to fuck with Steam at all. I am downloading the next product from Valve. Paranoid sons-of-little-****s.

That's not true, especially since HL2 is a one time buy and the internet is monthly. Of course, if you're refering to dial-up, then that's a different story

I stopped playing half life and counter strike because of this lame piece of shit aka Steam.

Basically what I'm saying is, in today's age of PC gaming, if you're capable of running Half-Life 2, you probably have the internet. If you don't, then you're definately in the minority which Valve doesn't really care about. Also, I'm pretty sure that registering HL2 is a 1-time thing. You don't have to be online when playing single-player.

Sounds to me like a bunch of people who got a spiffy cracked version cant play anymore.... I have no problems with steam at all.... I guess its kinda hard on you if you have dial up to update. But then again you have dial up soo it sucks to be you.. Half life 2 is one of the best games ever..

40 minute update on the connection u claim to have thats bull ur either lying or just exagerating abit

Steam has come a long way since its inital release a year or so ago. It still has small bugs, but its much more stable than it used to be, and well, whenever they do find bugs its easy autoinstalled, so no hazzle downloading an update. But yeah, the fact that you must connect to the internet to be able to play hl2 is a pain, but is their way of making sure they're arent any pirated copies going around.

deffinatley agree with you that its not cool they have done this, but if you read the side of the box b4 buying it, it say internet connection required! so it says it right on the box. should look @ things like that b4 u spend 50-60 bucks on it.
