Gouryella - Ligaya

Beautiful track. however, I feel like the lead synth in the track is sort of drowned out by various other noises in the background. I think that its the lead synth that makes the track so great. are there any mixes out there where the lead synth is emphasized more?

no no no no no no this record is shit. it smells like poo, its all about gouryella - gouryella

Airbase remix of Ligaya is quite good.

Ahh... so much time without a Ligaya thread

the original instrumental has the best representation of the main melody its layered beautifully... the ferry corsten remix comes 2nd for me which is a bit darker and slower in bpm but uses the signature gouryella bassline...

Yoji's Remix was hilarious, and good.

Hiver & Hammer remix (i think.. from memory)

The original is possibly ferry's worst produced track... not in terms of the track contents/personal taste or anything like that (although I'm not a fan), but it sounded really poorly mastered & almost amateur-like in some places.

Yes I like it but i prefer:

Gouryella - Walhalla
Gouryella - Gouryella 8Dj Tiesto e Ferry Corsten Mix)

Gouryella is a very good project

Awful original production, though I am a big fan of the Blue Arctic Stars (aka Passiva) remix

naaah dont like it too

Posted by AY STAR on Dec-23-2004 01:56:

i think its the worst out of all the "gouryella" tracks
but imo its still a pretty good track
and the son of a pitch mix is pretty good as well

Posted by trance-ecj on Dec-23-2004 02:11:

just putting my 2 cents in here...I'm about 50/50 with Ferry's work.

I like: Solstice, remix of Sweetest Dreams, and remix for syneasthesia, the moonman project, and remixes for moby.

the above were good...but rest blow...especially It's Time, Rock Your Body Rock, and Punk...prob my most hated songs next to the whiteroom sound.

and on topic, I hate the gouryella project!

sorry for the rant, but im just voicing my opinion.

A pretty ok track to me. But I think its upliftingness is pretty good. Not that kinda 'omg this sucks like cheese!' track imo. Guess people expect too much from ferry corsten after they've heard stuffs like gouryella & walhalla. The airbase remix is actually v.nice in another way!

Posted by mndeg on Dec-23-2004 06:43:

i like it, too bad the vinyl only has bad mixes of it

yoji mix, SO BLEEPY!

Posted by TVG on Dec-23-2004 07:08:
