Dunno ID-T going bankrupt?!?!

is this true?? i read it somewhere they stopped broadcasting q-dance events because they wanted to have new shows to get more listeners

id-t broadcast so many good events in the past

I doubt ID-T will go broke, just don't think that will happen.

Posted by sensorium on Dec-26-2004 01:19:

Bankrupt? How?

i wish they sold dj mag in USA

Posted by miamitranceman on Dec-26-2004 03:03:

Seems like they're just changing their corporate strategy. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Posted by rooibos on Dec-26-2004 03:08:

Too bad. ID-T kills dance music.

Posted by raku on Dec-26-2004 03:56:

uhm.. ID&T just expanded to germany to start off with a german sensation 2005 so i think things are going very well for them.

How? I feel as if I don't know nothing about the music scene...

There is only one thing which can make their company grow again, expand... Create huge parties all over the world, i mean, most non-dance-addict people in Holland get bored after a while with huge dance parties, so they stop buying tickets. Bringing parties like Sensation and Trance Energy to foreign countries will be fresh to all those foreign people, i bet the demand is enourmous.

agreed.. over in holland, the festivals are the ebst in the world. id fucking murder a schoolgirl for an opportunity to go. but i guess when theres that many uber-festivals going off in holland all the time [qlimax, qontact, q-dance, defqon, x-qlusive etc etc etc] then the novelty wears off. id say itd be a good idea to start ID&T / Q-dance festivals over here in england. but i dont think itd be AS big a success here compared to holland, holland seems to have a larger concentration of harder edged music lovers, but i guess that comes from the gabba revolution.

forgot to say the one thing i wanted to say :

i very highly doubt ID&T will go bankrupt, theyre name is way too big in european dance music, especially ther harder styles. ID&T has been one of the biggest respected icons ive seen in my last 9 or so years listenin to harder music.

maybe im wrong, but ill be saddened if they do go bust

that's some good news right there! maybe we can now finally get the cds they release somewhere as they're almost harder to find than orkidea - unity on vinyl. and maybe we'll get proper cds too and not shit like the new benjamin bates album, all edits and the cd was some 55min long or something like that, marco v's album was full of crappy edits too and so was rank 1's. hopefully this will be "fixed" now

nah, that just says they're stopping their record label, not the mag, site, radio, events.

Please please PLEASE bring something to Toronto. PLEASE.

Oh wait, our stupid friggin laws

ID&T had a revenue of 26 million Euro in 2003. Sensation, Mysteryland, Tiesto in Concert, Trance Energy were all sold out.

There is no way they would go bankrupt

Posted by torontotrance on Dec-27-2004 02:03:

The link pointed out that they made a fortune in revenue and refocusing the strategy is good. It still has the same guy in charge and the same artists and the entire back catalogue. I do agree with Skip, maybe Marco V's albums will be longer tracks.

Government wouldnt allow it. If they could, they would shut down every club in the country. They think that everyone that goes to clubs is all drugged up.
