French House

who here likes french house?
(listening to Together (Thomas Bangalter!!) - So Much Love To Give)

Posted by Az on Jan-15-2005 01:41:

er no I don't

French/filter house begins and ends with Thomas Bangalter.

The Ones - Flawless (Touch of Class Remix)

Apparently this comes under french.. Kick arse tune if you ask me.
Together - So Much Love to Give, it was catchy and somewhat popular around here. I never quite figured out why... one of the most repetitive songs i've ever heard.

It sure is! Ten minutes of "I've got so much looooove to give!" with some filtering and effects thrown in gets pretty damn annoying!

Listen to David Guetta

St. Germain (Ludovic Navarre) has always tickled my fancy.

no one has mentioned the anthem of french house:

stardust - music sounds better with you

what a tune! also check out french house vocalist hanna hais (tracks like parfum chic are good).

and "so much love to give" is complete shite!

I've heard some Laurent Wolf's sets, and he rocks! very tribal and bangin' french house sets though he's a bit commercial for my tastes.

they claim he's the world's #1 dj here on TV..

i really like Bangalter's tracks; hope the new Daft Punk album won't be a disappointment.

If you like Thomas Bangalter, you'll love 'The Knight Club' (Guy-Manuel Homem-Christo and Dj Rico), on their own label 'Crydamoure'...

You can try to the Sebastien Leger's prods too, and if you want more groovy french house try Harry Morse Project ( http://www.harrymorseproject.com ).

Jacques lu Cont does a lot of french house apparently
which is ironic seeing as his name is steve and he's from Reading in the UK

Well said! The tune is amazing ...

I am a big fan myself of the French House

My Favourite DJs/producers would, of course, be
Bob Sinclar, Daft Punk andAntoine Clamaran! Several others as well in my collection, can recall any other names right now
