Artists/Tracks that you rediscover and fall in love with all over again

So it's 5:00 AM and I'm sitting here and listening to Sasha's Xpander EP and I realize how much I missed listening to his sound...the man is an absolute genius, period. As opposed to so many producers out there, he produces tracks that you just never get tired of hearing. So complex, so intricate sounding, yet so beautiful to listen to, especially when you want to relax and kick back. The Xpander EP is, in my opinion, the finest piece of progressive music ever produced. I have yet to hear anything come close to it.

My personal favourite is Rabbitweed, an extremely underrated track that always gets overshadowed by Xpander, but that simply gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Never fails. Try listening to that track late at night, with the lights off, in complete silence, with your eyes closed. Indescribable. Baja is a close second for me, with those absolutely serene vocals.

Anyway, name artists/tracks that you've fallen in love with all over again

Digweed , even tho the latest Fabric compilation he did doesn't reflect his old sound

Xpander rules absolutely any trance track

Yes!!!! Their Rapture remix is still one of the best remixes of all time...turned an absolutely crappy song into gold...but they absolutely bite now...I don't know what happened to them...

Older Danny T Albums like the Global Underground Athens and Back to Mine are still awesome...Also going way back to the Prodigy Experience days...still great to bust out some "Voodoo People" or "Poison!!

ok??????????? Tiens, j'vais utiliser une de tes lignes: You know nothing about music!!!!!, with the requisite lol after

The thing with that mix is that everyone is confused as to which one was the Deep Dish mix and which one was the Creamer and K mix...they got mixed up at the time on Kazaa, and everyone confused the two since they got mislabeled...so everyone thinks the Creamer and K mix is the Deep Dish mix...anyway, their crystal remix was tight, but Rapture...mmmmmmmm...such good memories

Posted by KrinKer on Feb-03-2005 05:48:

The thing is that Rapture was wayyyyy over played and i got tired of hearing it.

Sure it was a pretty neat remix no doubt about that, but shit even my mother knew about it, talk about over played !!!

On the other hand i think i've heard the remix of Crystal only once in a big room and DAMN that was something !

Tiens, j'vias t'en donner une que tu aimerais surement: Armand Van Helden, Funk Phenomenon. Wayyyy over-played, but still, classic.

Posted by KrinKer on Feb-03-2005 06:28:

yeah but there's a difference

you can never get tired of listening to the funk phenomenon !!

I can't get enough of Danny T's Global Underground 010 set. CD2 is kicking my ass big time Tilt -- Seduction of Orpheus and Danny T -- Music is the Answer, are absolute bombs. Big fuckin' Arab Terrorist bombs!!!! I still haven't figured out what mixes these are, as Discogs doesn't list them, and I'm almost positive they're not the original ones.

oooohhhhhhhh Sashaaaaa....mmmmm I listen to DA man late at night, because it's so relaxing. But while I'm doing work, I need my dark prog. Seriously, Danny T's Athens Global Underground CD2 is simply dragging me by the balls across the floor right now. If I was gay, it would have fucked me up the ass already I was dancing in my office and my advisor just popped in. He was like: "Working hard"? hahahahahaha

OK so seriously, I downloaded this recently and I've never heard a cheesier song in my life. DJ Sammy was gourmet compared to this

--------------------------

On a much brighter note, to all dark proggy house lovers: you have to get Undulation, Vol 1, mixed by Satoshi and Hector Romero It's a 2003 release, so not that old, but classic stuff. Track 4 is an absolute bomb, and Satoshi's remix of Cass's Kenjin and Madam's Penetration is absolutely heavenly and worth the entire price of the CD. Get it

Sasha vs. Underworld (Xpander vs. Cowgirl) ----> Cowpander. Not the same.

Kao -- Sushi (Original Mix) Bustin' rollin' bassline. Great Proggy-Tech-House track. Caught my attention when I was listening to Steve Lawler's Essential Mix (10-05-2003) at 53:00.
