I'm not a fan of ASOT at all.

With that being said, I thought Behind Silence rocked.

Cant wait to hear this ch00nage!!1

Posted by swisstoni_uk on Feb-25-2005 13:26:

downloading Armins set now from ETN, so ill let you know what i think

EDIT: dont like it The male vocals are strange, they have the ability to make or break the tune to me, it just sounds like the tune is on a continous loop. Was there a breakdown? cos i didnt hear one, maybe Armin didnt spin all of the tune, but it just seemed like it was 2min cuts relooped over and over, didnt seem to have a flow to it

Posted by Sunquest on Feb-25-2005 15:22:

i find it ironic how earlier u guys were talking about "where has yahel gone?" hehe

now BAM he pops in ASOT hehe

anyways bout the track!

i just have to say THANK YOU YAHEL for coming back and saving trance for us! ahhhhh i love yahels sounds, nothing compared to him ever since he left! tune of the month for me!

My point was that I'm not your average ASOT "whore" (and I really don't mean to offend anyone who listens to ASOT on a regular basis when I say that), but I was listening to it last night as a substitute to the in-game music of Gran Turismo 4. I think it was the only track in the entire episode that I liked.

Could still use some good remixes, though.

Not heard this yet but from people above sounds fuckin great

Loved Voyage no doubt i will love this

From the Fundamental site (www.fundamentalrecordings.com):

Being on top of my links and paper work means however that I can give you a
quick update on some of our artists: A Force - Amir Afargan - Israel's best kept
secret has a new single. It's a joint effort with a league of his own - Yahel - Israel's
godfather of Trance (or at least something like that). Out soon on Fundamental
"Behind Silence" actually features YAHEL on vocals. Up to A Force's usual
exceptional standards and originality expect the best! Amir is currently finishing
the other track which is likely to make this another double A side release like
"Atomic Outbreak / Gravitational waves".

"It's on ASOT so it must be shit."

I'm not a fan of ASOT by any means, and not just because of the low-quality of music that tends to be on the show, but I find it hypocritical to bash people for liking a tune simply because it's on a radio show that you dislike.

armin does play good stuff...

its unfortunate most of it is blended with tons of crap...

because im not going to download a set just to listen to some song...

this is a discussion board not, omfg im l33t look at this cool tune...

if everyone here actually told how they felt about the track, TA as a whole would infinately benifit from it, as more producers would post here...

i know tons of djs/producers that are outright fuckin afraid to post here cause they would get ripped to shreds... tons of amazing producers used to participate in chat here. I even feel bad sometimes when i go off on a dj/producer, even if i dont admit it...

and its really unfortunate that that is the case...

nice thread hijack your prick, lets get back on topic...

great track, interested to hear a remix of it aswell!

i think that you most likely have bad taste. i also think that people, like me, generalize and sterotype shows/music like whats on ASOT, because its so chalk full of pompous shit. overplayed, overhyped shit. now that may be an opinion... but usually...and i find this alot, many people who listen to asot are ignorant to the glories and discoveries of the other genres and expansions of EDM. its just how it works...no one starts from listening to mainstream rock, lets say, and then finds EDM, and goes right into IDM...or minimal...etc. Take someone who listens to jazz mabye, its more likely (to me anyway), that they will tend to go towards the more...musically developed genres. Someone who listens to underground jazz is most likely better to sniff through the mainstream filler bullshit. Just a theory though. But I wish people would AT LEAST wake up and SEE why people would and should bring down ASOT. Its the top 10 countdown for EDM in a more subtle form. Wake the fuck up. But oh trust me, ive been there...i used to listen to ASOT ALL THE TIME, every show. Trance just grabs a hold of you and doesnt let go. Its the simplest form of EDM (commercial EDM anyway), any asshole and his dog can listen and enjoy trance. It has a simple nobrainers fucking structure, its filled with emotion, makes people cry with joy and other feelings (ive been there, trust me); all those hands in the air moments, the epic breakdowns and buildups...but when the beat drops back in i sometimes find myself feeling guilty. Guilty towards myself for being such a ignorant pussy. Its the same shit as people who listen to mainstream rap. Yeah, its fucking cool (to some at least, i say this loosly, because im not one of those people), it has additude, it basicly has all the ingrediants to be a success IE: aggressive lyrics, additude up the fucking yingyang, the promise of a lifestyle full of glory: scantly clad women, drugs, money, fame, and respect. Of course it turns people on. People get hooked onto that, regardless if its good. Same thing happens with trance, and every other form of Pop. Yes, people, trance is fucking pop. Mainstream, over the top, watered down (yes, it IS a nod to Dave Clarke, fucking genious); monotonous, melodramatic pop. And most of all, its likable. But does that mean its fucking good? does that mean you should defend it because others do, because your little pitiful, untrue to your self exsistance has told you to be like everyone else, weather you know it or not? Fucking no. Ive been there, people, ive done that, everyone. I listened to trance & rap. And ive gotten out of it myself. I dropped the friends i had who liked it all, and started over. Yes, that is fucking harsh, but in doing so, i saw the truth. The truth is, im a fucking god, and you can burn in hell.

That is all.

PS.

i feel so big.

3/4 of what i said is pretty acurat (at least to me)

feel free to thrash me with your petty arguments, i KNOW im right, and i think some people will be with me on this.

AT LEAST KNOW THAT WHAT YOUR LISTENING TO IS WATERED DOWN POP. IF YOU CANT SEE THAT, YOU, MY FRIENDS, ARE DUMB. DUMB DUMB DUMB.

EDIT: Forget 3/4 of what i said.
