Could you at least be bothered to wipe the underscores away if you're going to give these awesome "reviews" of the mp3s you get?

All the tracks on this EP are very good, with 2Day at the front of course. Another good quality release from Ronski, like his new remix for Solace. Keep the good work!

Agreed, hardly reviewing a vinyl are you when you copy/paste the track name from your mp3 file name.

If you don't have the vinyl, don't review an MP3.

hmmmm Idea, maybe we should make a rule here, if ur reviewing a vinyl or a cd album, you are required to post a pic of said vinyl or cd

i'll think on that one.

The problem is just, that not everyone has the possibility to do this, tho i think the idea isn't that bad

Posted by swisstoni_uk on Mar-20-2005 00:16:

You'll probably find as well, that a lot of threads in this forum are created almost in tandem with the mp3 release, probably within hours. Hence a lot of reviews about as yet unreleased physical material.

What if I'm reviewing a digial track I just bought off of AudioJelly, BeatPort or iTunes?

Don't go off the deep end yet, lol, just said it was something i would think over as too many ppl here post reviews on mp3's they DL.

Now as a site TA does not encourage the DLing or sharing of illegal mp3's.
reviewing a digital media file that has come from a legitimate source is of course welcomed.

Just that the admin of this site is aware that this forum is getting abused by the mp3 kiddies and we are going to do something about it.

No worries man. To be honest, I'm sick of the mp3 kiddies as well. Pisses me off to no end that there are so many easy ways to get the music we all love and reward the artists who produce it, all in the same step. Glad to see you folks are doing your part.

Hear that you fuckin' pirates? Most of the stuff you like to listen to is available on digital music stores. Fuck off and pay for it like the rest of us.

Anyways, it would be interesting to see if you could somehow ID the folks who get legitimate promos, for those who like to review songs before they are released. If nothing else, reviewers should cite the source of their music, whether vinyl/cd/cd-r/mp3/website/etc. Also a link to a legitimate sample should also be added to the review as well. But that's my two (slowly losing value) cents.

how many more times ?

that has been brought up countless times, try the next time!

Those MP3's there are all there with the artists/labels permission.
you hardly think we are gonna preach on about illegal MP3's then host them ourselves do you

Thats an excellent idea.
However, pic of vinyl/cd can easily be download from Juno.
But I guess by then the promos are available to the general public.
This idea will definitely help reduce the number of 'mp3' reviews, which is good

Posted by Fearless One on Mar-21-2005 10:11:

IMO a1 version is the most interesing of all

im sure he means a personal pic with the vinyl...

if u download it off a site you must get some confirmation??? right

Posted by Trance Instinct on Mar-21-2005 14:28:

fuckin hypocrites ...

Posted by sbastien4678 on Mar-21-2005 15:23:

2Day OK -> Excellent

I hardly imagine both other tracks are also produced by Ronski Speed

That would be an extremely lame idea in that case. What about people who can't afford to buy vinyls and download mp3's off beatport or other legal download sites? If you are required to post YOUR picture with the vinyl/CD then that immediatly reduces the reviewers to only vinyl users which is absurd.

I think a better idea would be that Wicked Neo should make it mandatory that only vinyl released tracks are able to be reviewed i.e tracks that are already available at vinyl stores.
Each review should include a link to the vinyl store stocking that release.
If a link is absent, that thread automatically gets deleted.
