what has oaky been up to?
I know this thread is quite open to the responses of who cares, but is oaky doing anything, cuz the only set I have even heard of him spinning in the last 3 months or so was WMC. Does he have another CD on the way or is he just kinda slipping away?
He played in Dallas Apr 2nd. Guess he's been playin across the US
hes off picking up his paychecks for past years at random clubs
eating tv dinners
Isn't he still promoting his reality TV series The Club?
too coked out to play a decent set
i wuz going to interview him with some nasty questions but he's stopped all media requests. He's gone back into the studio, you know what that means, sitting on his arse coked out while Andy Grey and Steve Osbourne do all the work. I dunno what he is doing in studio, I'm praying not 05 remix of bullet in the gun but you know its coming eventually. Gotta still love oakenfold tho, he may be an overpaid, overhyped, sob now but he was still what got some of us into EDM, I know I am one. You can hate oakenfold all you want but his level from 1997-2000 will never be matched....
He's probably stopped all free media requests.

Although I liked some EDM, Tranceport got me into the music. I wouldn't be where I am today, without that cd. He might not be the best dj around, but he plays good tracks and would probably play well if he wasn't always so fucked up.
A Voyage Into Trance Is what got me into trance...The 2001 release of it that is (what was that like the fourth rerelease of it?) Boy was I dissapointed when I googled for more trance and found out what "real" trance was.
So he(or other people) are working on a CD thats not remixes(hopefully)?
^^^ yea he's working on a new CD...he was here in toronto last yr and he said he had a new artist CD in thw works in an interview...should be an interesting follow up to Bunkka
Hey, if you guys could get the good coke that Oakenfold gets, you'd be hooked too.
he is at godskitchen (air- birmingham) on May 7th......Jon O'bir opening for him.

I dont like what he plays in the club nowadays, but Great Wall is one of the best progressive albums from the last years...
great track selection and amazing mixing skills... like oakie used to have.
And Creamfields is good only for disc 1, disc 2 is unnecessary.
Auranaut - People want to be needed fits better in Magik 7...
