cd reccomendation thread (all genre's welcome)...
so post some cd's you think people might enjoy or should check out. maybe state the genre of the cd's so people can recognize the genre's their interested in...

Goldfrapp - Black Cherry
This album is really great. i know a lot of dj's have been playing a lot of different mixes of some of goldfrapp's tunes the last 5 months or so, but i think the originals are still very strong if not better. i think this is a pretty solid all round album.

Emiliana Torrini - Love In The Time Of Science
I've always been a really huge bjork fan, but when Emiliana was suggested to me by some fellow TA's not too long ago...i checked her out and she's got some really nice tunes.

The Merkin Dream - The Merkin Dream
this is a really nice chilled down album. if you like downtempo or ambient styles, you should check it out if you haven't heard of them.

Flunk - Morning Star
found this one the other day...i really like the girls voice in this band...very bjorkish hehehe
...but they have a nice sound so check it out.

Caia - The Magic Dragon
this is a project from andy cato from Groove Armada. its very nice and chilled.

Mum - We Are No One
once again another scandinavian singer that is really very nice. also introduced to me by another TA hehehe. if you like the other cds check this one out too
ok so that's it for now. i'm trying to find out the name of this singer i heard on the radio yesterday...there was this french singer with a beautiful voice and such a great laid back style...i'll post it up when i find it.
When you're into Goldfrapp you are likely to enjoy other bands from my signature as well..
Try these CD's
Hooverphonic - Hooverphonic presents Jackie Cane (their best album to date imo)
Hooverphonic - Sit down and listen to Hooverphonic (theater recordings of some of their biggest hits)
Sutrastore - Love Evolution 1.0 EP
And these bands:
Iuno
Cinephile
Lunascape
Gorrilaz - Demon Days

AWESOME house/electro, very chilled out with classy beats and smooth acid jazz feeling on most of the cd, very sexy listen and a favorite of mine. not hardcore electro - its like deep house electro. awesomenessss
Primal Scream - DIrty Hits
awesome remix album, a fun listen with a lot of varitey. some class fuckin remixes from wicked artists. very eclectic and sexy.
Air - Walkie Talkie
brilliant album from people who are in touch with the future of music and its influences but also a foot in the past with some classy tunes, and smooth rock ish listening, especially reccomend "surfing on a rocket"
Stereophonics - Performance and Cocktails
loving this album. dunno why, but it works. and it rocks.
Scissor Sisters
these guys are much more than a novelty act and are loaded with talent and are a refreshing listen. te remixes were great as well.. rock on scissor sisters.,..

fucking amazing record^^^ I have a copy of the 1970 pressing. still in great condition.
been loving this one lately! great record
Vibert's new release. a good one at that.
one of my favorite records
Jason, this one is for you. The band Bjork used to be in before she struck her fame as a solo artist. This record has one of my all time favorite songs (top...10), 'Birthday'. It would boggle the mind to try and understand why someone couldnt like this song. To quote someone faithfully on Discogs: " Quite possibly the most orgasmic song ever made, Bjrk's voice resonates pure unadulterated emotion that is matched by no other. birthday takes you on a euphoric journey into a cool grassy field on a lazy summers day. as you lay there melting into the earth, you observe fluffy clouds of total bliss which you take in with the most humongous inhalations imaginable -you hold in the lungfuls of joy as long as you can, wishing the moment would never end. most of the time you exhale and fall back into reality, but every so often you're able to hold that feeling inside of yourself and share it with the one you love
"
please...listen...to...it
actually saw Mike Cadoo (one half of the now defunct Gridlock) live under his alias Bitcrush tonight. WHAT a fucking show!
Casino Versus Japan - Whole Numbers Play The Basics
Autechre and The Hafler Trio
Brtschitsch & Galluzzi - Lockvogel
and...to top it all of so far!
i *think* thats good enough for now. some new, some old. most old. but all good, at least to me. ill post more once ive had some sleep!

Ooh... I could have too much fun with this thread. Probably will post after bed time but in the meantime:

Peter Benisch at his electro playful self.
