Club 246/100.7 FM listeners?
What do you think of CLUB 246/100.7FM???
great station
Depends... some nights UNBELIEVABLE... some nights suck my fat hairy nuts
dont talk so much! otherwise it beats most of whats on the air.
Id like to see more structured shows though such as a canadian version of an essential selection type show for example with top tunes and information about artists and tracks.
some nights it was the only reason why I didn't pass out behind the wheel on my hamilton - toronto drinking missions
Needs more non-early morning broadcasts.
great station. The only station I listen to, too bad it's on so late at night though. I heard rumours that GrooveRince.com the net station that powers Club246 recently got a license for a 24 hour EDM music station in Toronto I don't know if it's true but that would rock!!
Club 246 rocks and is the best thing on the radio..... But I would agree that it would be much, much better if it were 24hrs. I liswhen driving at night, but if it were 24/7 it would be all that I'd listen to
Great EDM station I've been listening since the 1groove days to when 246 started.
I like the ASOT that started last week, the Paradox show etc.
I hope it does get air time in the day time.
club 246 needs to be on all day everyday......we need something to tune into at all hours of the day........oh wait, i forgot about dj danny d.....nevermind...he's the man!
at playing the worst shit ever.
ASOT, Paradox and Digweed rock. GinoGina is also pretty good they're funny as hell sometimes.
I hate their Tuesday night show, those two guys talk way too much about nothing.
I reciently left 246 because they wanted ME to pay them to air my talent.....does that not sound wrong? I was with them for about a year onthe online station. The overnight stuff isn't bad, but nobody really listens.
That and they will never get out of the 12-6am spot because of CRTC rules

reasons
Well i'm going to start replying to some of these posts across Toronto and the GTA, as some people are missleading what mandates and other initiatives club246.com Inc has.
Amps wanted a FM slot, but we do not remove any HOSTS from our network unless there is a problem or better oportunity for the group to advance. While Amps does a good show, it is not up to a standard that we would like our FM station to head.
Secondly airtime is avialable if a Show such as amps can present a sponsor who will pay for the airtime in which is being used.
We pay chin, and in return we have to have sponsors and programs paying us.
There are no ratings and while amps is totally incorrect in his statement that "no one listenens" our webiste as trippled in hits, our phone lines never stop ringing and with the right combinations our live to airs do produce good results.
Emails pour in from people who enjoy the hard work that we put in, and in fact we enjoy each persons opinion.
At the end of the day this is a business, and just because you can dj, or create your own show, doesn't mean your ideas will match up with ours.
We are a good company, with good people and just because you leave doesn't give you the right to put down something you played on for over a year.
We thank you for playing for us, and though not our decision we are sad to see you leave. Good luck .
you guys should seriously do a music show catering to the music connoisseur. There are no locally produced shows that are like this. The closest we get around here is john digweed's transitions. Id like to see a format like that but from a canadian perspective with well respected canadian djs as the hosts.
the problem we are having is
a. All the super djs have no time to do a show.
b. Do not have a good voice
c. want too much money

haha very true.
What carl cox lacks in voice he makes up for in Production, Music and his Name.
Do you have any suggestions on who you would like to see on the radio ?

none of these artists have any radio shows currently and are not available.
More local talent. I understand it's a business...however, there's no $ figure that u could put on what u'd do for "The Scene" by promoting...and supporting locals just as enthusiastically as u would a BIG name local...or especially an international one. Also, we already know that the HOUSE scene is stronger...and alooooooot bigger than the Techno, Trance, breaks...etc. and that there's more business opportunity there, and more $ to make, but why not play an active role in supporting grass roots level.. up & coming TRANCE dj's? How do u think NYC dj's make their names?? sure they're good... but we have locals here that are just as..if not better than. Plus we really do have aloooot of Trance listeners in the GTA how else would Tiesto, Corsten, AvB, and the likes sellout venues.

The only shows here that truely showcase music are the ones from abroad. Otherwise they seem to be nothing but informercials for whatever club it's live from. I dont mind live to airs but a proper studio music show is whats needed. The closest we have to what im thinking about that is canadian is the smirnoff experience but even that show needs some work IMO.
you shouldnt squander this opportunity. You have a studio and a live radio station (as well as intenet) at your disposal. You should use this to develop a professional show that not only will attract local listeners, but will eventually have buyers for syndication. Thats how you make the real money in this game but this takes a lot time to develop and a lot of hard work. Live to airs are quick money makers are a good thing, but over the long term a good music show will be the jackpot winner.
Just look at all the examples from overseas many of them which you buy yourselves.
