Any of you TA's watch movies???

Just saw 'The Score' today and I must admit that it was a pretty darn good flick. Very fine acting from Norton and Deniro. I think that this movie is highly recommended.

So what's everyone else been seeing lately?

Lately I saw, American Pie 2, Fast and the furious, Pearl Harbor, Harry Potter, etc etc

Europe is always behind with the movies

My favorite 3 movies of all time are:

1) Requiem for a Dream.. you MUST see this movie..
2) Leon: The Professional
3) Face/Off

Yeah, this movie rocks! also, of my personal favs... "The Hackers" (althugh a little sci-fi, but anyway..), Return to the Blue lagoon, Scent of a woman (Al Pacino is maybe the best actor!) and... well, that's all I can think of right now...

Trainspotting
Pulp Fiction

if you havent seen these movies you are seriously missing something...

the last 2 movies ive seen were Shrek and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, both pretty damn good movies too...late/

I like gangster movies

Casino, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Leon, the godfather trilogy also there was an Irish american gangster movie with Dennis Leary in which was wicked but I've forgotten the name of it.

And another thing that pissed me off a bit about Goodfellas as much as I think Joe Peschi is a brilliant actor, in real life the chracter Tommy De errhghhhh (some Italian name) was not so psychotic and the Irish American gangster in it Jimmy Conway (robert De Niro) was the real psycho in real life theres a lot about them and Conway was a nasty piece of work he'd murdered a lot more people even though the crimes in that film happened like the death of Spider, and Billy Batts happened in real life and tommy (peschi did one and helped in the other). either way I like gangster movies I read a lot about Irish gangs like the Westies and Winter Hill Gang and the Mafia and theres some great gangster movies out there.

Also Aliens nice choice Spad good film just a pity Alien 3 and reserection were shite.

The Godfather 1
followed closely by Godfather 2

for gangster films about the footsoldiers

Goodfellas and the much underrated Donnie Brasco

for bloody gangster films i guess you cant go past Scarface

for avante garde gangster films Reservoir Dogs and Ghost Dog

for old skool gangster films Little Caesar

OMG! How come nobody's mentioning The Shawshank Redemption? It's easily one of the best films EVER made, EVER. That's like before the dinosaurs and everything! I honestly don't know one person who's seen it who disagree's that it's one of the best films ever made (which I know is just asking for "I've seen it and thought it was shit" replies - not big and not clever ).

Please if you havn't seen it then go rent it, it will make you feel so special Do it for me. Do it for yourself, but most of all do it for the children.

as for requiem for a dream, hm it was very special but not THAT good!
It does pull u down like almost nothing else, but im missing something..
godfather 2 is better than 1 due to DE NIRO!! who kicks pacinos ass(!)
pulp fiction is a movie i really like but im always wondering whether it is cause its really good or cause EVERY! tells me its good..

The Shawshank Redemption is the flick with freeman right? very good but cannot be compared to classics like those mentioned above..
a way underrated movie IMO is 12 monkeys--->simply AMAZING!!

black comedy - really good, but i dunno if it made it big or not

most movies with tom hanks in it are gonna be good... forrest gump, green mile, castaway

snatch is a pretty top movie too... i gotta rent that one day and figure out wat the hell brad pitt sez..

for all you TAs out there who havent seen Run Lola Run, I suggest you go see it. Anyone who has, post a review or something so people know to GO SEE IT!!!!!! Its the greatest "trance action" film ever! Aside from the amazing soundtrack, the cinematography is fantastic and the plot is just as impressive.
