is it just me....

....or has the board gotten really gay?

i just have no interest in even coming on here anymore. and i notice a lot of the "old schoolers" from when i joined up aren't around either.

oh well, see you guys at space in a month.

Yea, there's too many useless posts and meaningless conversations that go on... I mean, people literally have an entire conversation by posting and then other people chime in with overwhelming attempts at being funny, when in reality, it's just words on a page...And you can tell that they're thinking about what to say that might be funny....

Also, too much bashing of other members that goes on... this is a global community united by a common bond and people get penalized for liking variety and having genuine love for a multitude of genres... in the end, we all love to dance and that's all that matters... If you don't like Tiesto or House or a what not, then just move on unless you have something constructive rather than destructive to say....

I only cruise SETA out of all the forums to see about parties and events nowadays...I would love to see more thought topics, but everytime one is started, it gets hijacked with meaningless bullshit that pertains to nothing...again with the long conversations and bogus attempts at message board humor...and eventually a fight, so it makes it not worth the time to start one...

Anyway, that's my two sense...and please, if anyone is going to 1)Call me a name 2)Make fun of me 3)Argue with every or any word in my post, PLEASE, PM me and let this be a thread of ideas, and not slights and fights...

To be honest with you i dont see anything wrong with the the board. Well yeah i do acknowledge that sometimes things here get out of hand, as we can see people creating useless threads i dont want to name any names..... but yeah well i do see a problem and the problem is that PEOPLE TAKE THIS BOARD VERY SERIOUSLY(some)..... they think this is the real world for them.... other than that this board seems to be in the right path we see threads that are dedicated to party announcements and sometimes we see threads we a little humor, which i dont consider bad because its good to have a little of everything.... and the other problem we see people getting personal with others well yeah i can keep on but im just gonna leave it that way.

what is the difference if peeps start threads to post with & about things that go on in your general area..

Instead its been mentioned to post in the COR... in which i have no clue or have any idea who is posting in there except fellow TA's...

here in SETA i know personally & online peeps here. I just don't see why if we belong to an area, we have to post other threads like the COR.

IMO, the SETA forum is for threads that pertain to the EDM culture of the South East. The threads that belong in the COR, are the threads that really have no serious meaning or pertinence to the Southeast EDM scene... That's really the whole point of having multiple forums, so people have easier access to information without having to fish through threads they're not interested in.... Like, if I start a thread entitled... "ATTN ALL" and then the body is, "booga bogga booga".... that just cloggs up this particular forum and has no relevance to anything to do with SETA. Take that to the COR where you can connect with like minded TAs from all over the globe who wanna be goofy and crazy with you... otherwise, if you're trying to capitlize on inside jokes, then PM is the place for that cause most of us aren't gonna know wtf you're talking about....

The beautiful thing about TA in general is we have sooooo many forums for everything you'd wanna talk about.... each forum has it's own culture too... the SETA has become a sewer where pretty much everything floats up and people are in fear of posting anything meaningful cause there is so much suppressed anger with certain TA members who just wanna name call and pick fights, and also some TAs can't express an opinion without offending someone in the process, so people just stay out of it all together.... And then, it usually ends with people crying that their freedom of speech has been trampled when in reality, you need to have respect for your other members, even if you don't agree with what they're saying! It's like that here AND in the REAL world... it's amazing the things that people will say cause they think they have the safety of "cyberspace" shileding them from getting the shit kicked out of them in real life....

This site is first and foremost about music and EDM culture, not about manifesting internal self hatred garnered from years a god only knows while growing up.... believe me, there are therapy websites for that shit...

Honestly music discussion would be the better place to discuss music. There is a wider, more global, audience with a collection of opinions.

Frankly, if you want to discuss music, why don't you be the first to start a discussion topic? All I see are complaints about how this forum use to be but I never see an proactive attempt to bring it back to "how it use to be." If anyone hasn't noticed, the quality of a forum has a direct relationship with it's users and what they post. If you want a good forum, start posting threads that promote the topics you want to discuss. It's that simple.

You know i know a few TA's who are friendsof mine. we not only socialize here on the board but we get together as well & hang & party together.

you guys say that the board has gone to shit... well maybe for you guys.. i enjoy lurking & posting on the boards. Its called having fun. Many peeps on here say that there are useless threads that they go in &

the person who started the so called useless thread or the one who spent the time reading 10-15 pages on posts that did not interest them to begin with to then say it was a useless & pointless thread.
the way i see it.. if it doens't concern you click on the next thread that does concern you.
