MIKE @ Mezz 7/22 Roll Call
I'm surprised there isn't a thread already about this. So like...anyone here going to this? Me and my friend will be attending, hopefully a few other TA's will be out seeing the Belgian producer rock it tomorrow night.
i'll be there for sure. come early, taj is the opener

will be there. convince everyone you know to come!
God damn I wish I lived in Frisco..
R.E.F.
I'm still a maybe. I have a meeting at noon, and it will dictate whether I can make it up.
+1
Looks like it's just me and you Zharen, too bad there's not much people from Modesto that's into this music.
Nice quote from Paninaro - Stranger.
Hope tonight goes well. Haven't seen a ton of public excitement on boards but everyone I seem to be talking today is saying they are going...so it could be a decent turnout when all is said and done.
Dave
The turnout was decent for MIKE at the end of April at Circus. He put on a hell of a show, and if anyone is on the fence about this I definitely recommend getting over there. He is one of the best producers of all time imo, and his DJ sets are right up there too. All that and he's a super nice guy.
I saw MIKE at Spundae earlier this year and he owned. I thought the size of the crowd was perfect. I hate crowded clubs.
I'll be there plus 2....and I have to work at 7:30am! Gonna just sleep on the way back, that and I only have to work for like 4-5 hours tomorrow...
See you all there....time to take a nap
wanna stop in later with some freshmeat (barely 21s), its my duty to expose them the sf club scene tonight. Hopefully theyll have a blast!
Alright well I'm bout to leave in a little bit. Say hi to the guy dressed in black. And Sheffy I'll make sure to find you this time...hopefully.

Oy, this was really fun.
If I didn't have to be at work in the morning I would have stayed longer. I wish the crowd was a little bigger, but hey -- more room to dance! And I'll never get tired of hearing Hammer and Bennett - Language (Santiago Nino) in a club.
p.s. Dave your girlfriend is really nice.
Yeah, small crowd, but not bad nonetheless...and an awesome night....
Was awesome to hear Mike say how he'd prefer 40-50 peeps in the crowd who were into the music over 500 who were just "there" for the hell of it...shows the passion and his focus...he seemed to have a great night. Said he'd love to come back for that type of atmosphere again.
M.I.K.E. is a amazing! Taj and Push threw a killer party tonight, wow...
Got pics Dave ?
Eh, I wasn't really feelin' it last night. I think partly cuz I was a little too drunk when I got in. I was disappointed to see the crowd fill up only half the club and MIKE was just spinning too much prog for my tastes that night. I mean I love prog and all, but I was expecting MIKE to be spinning Massive Motion, or Global Getaways, something faster and harder, not Holden and Thompson-Come to Me. I left at 2. But someone tell me if he did spin faster and harder stuff later on in his set.
And btw always nice to see some TA's again. DaveT and Ninetyninej. BTW, Sheffy, were you wearing a dark colored shirt with stripes running across the middle? I think I saw someone who looked like you that night, but I was totally sure.

It was a dark red shirt with horizontal white stripes. I'll be hitting up Blank & Jones tonight!
Last night was f%^&U* Awesome!!! had a blast ... love the sound system in that place but M.I.K.E tore the place up!! It was a fun 3hr set...It took us in a nice progressive journey then BOOM! Trance hit after hit! That through everyone in "a state of trance". Well, I told M.I.K.E. Come back soon and hey said "yes I will be back soon".
You could see the passion that he has for what he does.
I preffered a cowd like last night who where there to see M.I.K.E. Instead of at 1015 or Rubye Skye where they would have been pushing me and kicking me all night and asking if TAJ was M.I.K.E.!!!
Dave, I know you took pictures!! Post Please.
One last thing I am so shy so didnt say hi to no TA's

had a blast last night, bounced till the end. Wish I didn't miss the first half hour or so of his set. Does anyone know what mix/remix of Roc Project's Never he spun last night, was it his own? Never heard most the vocals cut like that before, but liked it. fun small group, good energy last night.
still a lil ringing in my ears from the volume though.
