Overdog - Open Your Eyes
No comparison.
STOP TOUCHING CLASSICS
That said, I still need to hear a sample, but I imagine it will be like most of the 2005 remakes.

The remix is good. Has a nice sick bassline to it. Its very Markus and Elevation style but I like it. Id post a sample but Im not allowed to play the track on the radio or post it anwywhere....Sorry...

| Originally posted by flavdave http://www.atcr.co.uk/ It's Open Our Eyes. If discogs was up I would've linked you there but ATCR is the label that released it and its labeled as Open Our Eyes (which is what it says on my vinyl too). It's mislabeled on most compilations I've seen it on, so there is a reason for the confusion. Perhaps the promos said Open Your Eyes. |
Personally, I love the remix, but it's not that differen't than the original IMO. The bassline at the begining is a bit cheesy, but it's fuller than it's older brother. Has almost the same exact haunting piano melody and backround synths. The vocals were a bit strange at one point; isolated at a weird moment. But other than that they haven't changed much at all IMO, except given it a more playable rendition for today's djs.
I would've been mad if it was hacked, but you have to admit Schultz and Elevation have talent. I don't mind the remakes, if they are done tastefully.
it is a ncie remix indeed . it gives it more of a clubby vibe , and the bassline is very strong , not many major changes , just enhancements of a classis track ,,,
so no info on release dates ?
which version did paul okenold mix?
live @ space in Ibiza
I agree, this one is tastefully done. Not like some of the other hack jobs of classics that are out there.
