I'm surprised there's no sept 11 remembrance thread

not that i'm asking for one, i just figured someone would've posted something about it.

and to be totally honest, today felt normal just like any other day..

kinda hungover from the night before, went to get some pancakes, watched some football...

I guess as the years go by the atrocities of sept 11 became more and more desensitized..

Sept. what now?

Exactly. Never forget, my ass. I was thinking about this earlier today. The hurricane has taken precedent over the anniversary.

I was going to post something but WNeo has his eye on me.

Posted by Sunsnail on Sep-12-2005 02:19:

probably not. It could offend some people by making them remember someone they may have lost. offending anybody= ban

I was going to watch some special on CNN but nooooooooo they had Wolf ****0x Blitzer on. I wasn't happy in the least bit!

It was on the website, on the tv program yet somehow the show wasn't aired when they said it would air.

R.I.P. to my friends

Sadly, there is only one rememberance thread in the NYTA forums... and I'm the only one that posted in it other than the creator.

Posted by Lepanto on Sep-12-2005 02:32:

i made a thread in the NYTA forum and 1 person replied...IN THE NEW YORK forum nontheless. Pricks!

My condolonces to all the families of the 9/11 victims, my heart goes out to all of you.

sorry, mate i didn't feel like reading through the thread i just wanted to express my frustration.

indeed the hurricane is a recent event that is of great significance but today i saw alot of American flags hanging in stores, candles, murals, etc. the nbc (i think) amongst other chanels had the ceremony from ground zero i almost cried at work after watching all of it and hearing all the relatives speak and tell each other how much they miss their loved ones.

I remember, but then I also remember how my country invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, how US citizens can now be held without trial for an indefinite period of time, and how Katrina revealed how woefully unprepared my country still is for a disaster even after 9/11.

And I realize to my dismay that the terrorists of 9/11 succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

I know. I'm just saying that you were kinda adding fuel to the fire. He, too, is in the wrong for starting it.

Posted by BadBadNeil on Sep-12-2005 03:52:

I already posted in the 5 or so other forums I go to about 9/11 so I didn't bother starting one here. Watched the 9/11 Flight that fought back on discovery channel, was well done.

Worst day in my life, not much more to say than that.

This does not even dignify a proper response.

We'll leave it at that.

My uncle was in the 78th floor of the neighbouring second trade centre when the first plane hit. He got out in time, all the way from the 78th floor.. scary experience

R.I.P to the victims
