Self-Promotion Thread
New mix? New track? New radio show? Post it up in here!
From this point on, all other "download my mix/track/radio show" threads will be locked
I already love this thread
methinks this thread will not get checked often
nah, its a good idea.
"download my mix" 's should be in tracklists anyway.
Why not use the Amateur music production thread on the main TA site?
Possibly there are more reviews to expect...

you can tell that this thread will just not draw the amount of crowds needed for something.
I mean like someone will post in this thread and never again look at it again because it will be jumbled with so many different stuff that it will just become out of hand.
Maybe people can ease up on promoting the same thing with a new thread but a thread about promotion should be fine i think.
IMO

this a good idea to cut down on promotional radio shows + download mix threads. but i think u should permit "download my production" threads though as there really arent that many. jace, onion-man and dave's are all i've seen. also be easier to check feedback in their individual threads
but either way, po-tae-toe, po-tah-toe.
im a fun loving 20 year old uni student who enjoys walks on the beach

| Originally posted by escee i agree with this too, people put a lot of time and thought into productions and deserve individual recognition. |

| Originally posted by djway There's a whole forum for promotion, if they want to post somewhere else other then in this thread, post there. I'm sure every1 who wants to hear a DJ mix will start looking in correct forum instead of in here for threads daily... Add to that, a lot of time they're being posted in both places anyhow, you may as well just post it to the world instead of AU. --djway |
okay..
Bermuda Tribe - Village Trance

I reckon! Infact, I think even sets should still be allowed on here, as I'm more then happy to check out a nice set from our AUTA boys or girls. And as for not allowing promotional threads for your own track, that just shits me
People spend alot of time making their tracks, and if you just want to shove their hard work into one big unorganised heap(of shit) which is what this thread represents, then you have an issue, because I was devasted to see jaces thread locked
grrr
I mean really, does it bother you THAT much?(especially ontop of all the half assed bullshit threads on here already
) I mean, why don't you go lock them
No wait, I'll tell you what, howabout we all have a big locking party, and lock every single thread on TA and then.....ahh fuck this
Get off your high fucking horse gelatin.....
Personally i get pissed off having to filter through all the download my mixes, or listen to my radio show threads that we get on here.... theres an entire promotions forum if you want opinions go there thats what its for! If you want the opinion of your mates send them the mix, dont waste everyone elses time! Webby's doin a great job, so if you dont like it i guess you should head elsewehere.....
Jace i really like it. Very very impressed!!! One thing that i found a little offputting was the slight increase in volume that seemed to incorporate every 4th beat or so of the drums. It (to my ears) seemed to jump ever so slightly up a touch for the very first beat and then resume normal volume for the other 3 beats.... possibly my speakers though..... if delibrate, its a good idea but i found it grated a little bit after a minute or so....Apart from that - very good track!
