Austin Scott New Double Disk - First installment

Hello all

Im doing a new double disk cd release. One cd is gonna reflect the lighter moodier progressive house/trance that I play and the other the darker/rougher/edgier side. I wanted to give you guys the first listen and see what ya thought. I only have the "light" version uploaded thus far and the "dark" is being uploaded tonight. The light is just about complete except i am making my own intro. Don't have a name for either yet but you get the picture!

In any case please take a listen and i'll be sure to have plenty of these to hand out in my next L.A. gig . I hope everyone enjoys.

Sweeeeet! Can't wait for a copy. Do you have the same remix of the Way Out West track on both mixes?

Posted by austinscott on Oct-26-2005 18:35:

Yeah i do have the same remx on both mixes. I nkow that is normally taboo but I like the song and it fits perfectly into both mixes so I said "who cares".

New Demo link is now added above

Nice set....it had a very good flow to it...but what happened to the other set? The one with two Way Out West mixes? Post it!!!

By the way, when is your next LA gig? I need me a cd! Actually, aren't you located in San Diego? That is where I reside. Have any gigs in the near future down here?

3.) Jose Zamora - Lochness (Dousk Zulu Remix)
4.) James Benitez - Not Over Yet (Parham and Plaza Remix)
5.) Yellow Blackbird - Superfly (Greed vs. Mental X Mix)
6.) Esdeto - So Real feat. Legolath (Greed vs Mercurio Dub)
7.) Ticon - Texas Magnusson
8.) Igal Magitman - Lost Souls
9.) M.I.K.E - Fuego Caliente (Dimitri Andreas Remix)

11.) Clokx - Tibet (Original Mix)
12.) Way out West - killa (Orkidea vs. Dallas Superstars Remix)

You thought the first mix was dark? Each track is a melodic progressive trance song.

The seceond mix is definitely dark.

I did the different mixes to showcase the diff sides of dark and melodic progressive that I play. I'm surprised to hear you thought the first mix was dark at all.

Thanks for listening either way

Andain - Beautiful Things (Markus Schulz Shadows of Coldharbour Mix) = DARK
Andain - Beautiful Things (Photon Project remix) = NOT DARK

No?

Or maybe what you call melodic progressive I call dark

touche'

I suppose the coldharbour rmx of beautiful things is a dark prog track. I def think the other ones in the mix (david west, roland klinkenberg, alex monakhov, etc...) are all on the lighter more melodic side).

Did you think the two cd's contrasted each other at all? I appreciate the feedback thus far

Posted by TSG on Nov-03-2005 00:02:

DarK??? I have no freakin idea as to why people call it DARK. To me dark is the opposite of light and can also mean spooky or "twilight zone."

Anyway... I'm listening to it again cuz I really like it. So there!
