Love So i just broke up with my gf and i'm about to make a mix..

It was a real heartbreaker and there so many emotions I'm experiencing right now. As usual listening to music and mixing I believe would be a good way to heal.
Do you guys have any recommendations? Here's what I have so far..in the the approximate order I'll be playing them.

Eurhythmics - I've Got a Life (Sander Kleinenberg remix)
MIDOR&SiXEight vs The Cranberries - No Need to Argue
Recluse - Emoptional Void (Original full mix)
Cloudbreak - Difference (Hydroid vs Santiago Nino Dub Fire mix)
Headstrong - Close You Eyes (Dwight van Man remix)
Mike Foyle - Space Guitar (Nick Thompson remix)
Deep Voices - A New Beginning
The Police - SOS (Sander van Doorn remix)
Dogzilla - Without You (Ronald van Gelderen remix)
Edgewalkers - I Ran (Acer mix)
Marc van Linden - Forbidden Love (B-mix)
Armin van Buuren - Shivers (DJ Tatana Sirup remix)
Above&Beyond - Alone Tonight <--Has this been released yet?
Annie Lennox - The Saddest Song (Kuffdam & Plant remix) <--Perfect ending track

I'll narrow it down to 9-10 tracks today and then spend all weekend mixing it. If anyone wants a copy feel free to pm me.

A classic at the end. I always play track when situations arise.

Underworld - Dark & Long (Razormaid remix)

8 Wonders - The Morning After (Thrillseekers Mix)
Ferry Corsten vs. Thrillseekers - Sublime (Thrillseekers Mix)

both show emotion

Lustral - Everytime (Red Jerry remix) or (Nalin & Kane remix) is another good classic that might be appropriate..

Max Graham - I know you're gone

it's a really really sad song, and unless i'm mistaken the song is about a break up

Banco de Gaia - Big Men Cry

Probably wouldn't work in a typical trance set unless you're an incredibly skilled DJ, though.

You had me believing that I was the reason that you lived,
But I won't go back to in love with you again,
I don't even wanna be your friend. "

the new Thrillseekers - By Your Side is really good but the only mix thats been released that I know of is the original version which is not very mixable or danceable.

is your suggest or should i say comment tongue in cheek or are you for real? 'love comes again' is so played out. i remember seeing that on tv and hearing it on the radio when i was in holland last summer.

Posted by RapidFire on Oct-28-2005 22:13:

it would fit if you did a story type mix. beggining with loss and ending with hope.

as cheesy as that may sound you cant top having above and beyond in there in terms of cheese so go for it.

Dude, rent "Hi fidelity", "Swingers", and other guy movies, get over it and go out and get some ass.

Jeez... man, now that i am older, I clearly remember how sucky it is to be a teenager.

Just think - if you move on now, you can:

1. Have some new pu$$y as early as tonight
2. Do the things you'd enjoy doing and the bitch didn't
3. Do something to celebrate your freedom
4. Remember her mom... Just think - that's 90% your woman 5-10 years from now... are you sure you want to be hittin' that ass?
5. Grow some pubes and some balls - you don't need her to feel good about yourself.

making a mix?? How lame!!! make a hard-core mix of pumpin' shit and go out there, stop sobbing like a bitch and feeling bad for yourself.

sorry, just some cold and fresh honesty for ya.

speaking of cold and fresh - get some beer and watch the entire first season of "the man show" by the time you get to season 2, you will be ready to face the world.

Cheers!!! [iii])

You forget. We now live in the age of the metrosexual, emo boy. Pressures put upon the male species by their female counterparts has lead to a number of men getting 'in touch with their feelings'. Hence all the whiny guys about.

Ironically, a lot of women hate this in guys. They like sensitive guys, but not whiners clinging on to the past.

proabably for the new generation of men. though i will agree about the sensitive yet not too sensitive part. and metrosexual is a gay word, it sounds so fucking stupid. i would have prefered Pimp looking or something.

Calm down.

But anyway, Alone Tonight is released Febuary 27th, so you probably won't be able to get a copy of it. If you want some Above & Beyond in there, you'll probably want Far From In Love. May I also suggest Luminary's Amsterdam as a really rather brilliant tune with the sort of message you want to give.
