Blank & Jones' dominated the top of Germany's dance charts during the country's late-'90s trance explosion. After a chance meeting at the PopKomm music conference, one-time record clerk Piet Blank and Ratinger Hof's resident DJ Jaspa Jones formed the Blank & Jones production team to make broad trance records of the Aeon, Kai Tracid, DJ Manta, Darude, and Angelic variety. Met with consistent success as they laid the groundwork for their full-lengths, the band also won the respect of their peers, finding remix work for Fragma, Mauro Picotto, and Moby, as well as getting the chance to use Yello's Deiter Meir on their second album, 2001's Nightclubbing.

Thats the key ELEMENT it needs. To bad they didn't give EDGAR V a chance. How bout bringing EDGAR back to Nocturnal or EVEN give some LOCALS a shot behing the decks.

You have a trance DJ/Producer behind Surface so I am doing all I can to bring in the top notch Trance acts. Believe me I want this club to succeed and seeing trance go off is something very important.

We are working on some major trance line-ups for these upcoming months so keep posted. With the Bang festival having so many artists its been hard to get certain talent because of clauses, etc.. but moving into the new year, its on everyone!!

With regards to the local talent, we are all about it and we are going to be kicking off our DJ Mix Of The Month contest very soon. Make sure you check out our miami message baords at www.surfacemiami.com. Its going to give some of these great locals a chance to play some of our events.

NYE is looking to be a full on Trance night with B&J and possibly one more major headliner. Personally, I havent played down there in a while so I am looking forward to hooking up a set for you all during this night...

There you have SoFLTA's straight from the horses mouth. If it be that Nocturnal books TRANCE DJ's Then & only then will I consider being a Local there OR even consider going back on a regular basis.

CONGRATS on your plans to bring back TRANCE to MIAMI. I'm def glad to hear that.

edit: Demoted... they were just down here about 1-2 months ago. And they completely rocked it! So i doubt they are going to play like they did in ATL
