CS:S oder Counter-Strike Source

Anyone on here play the game? Do you LAN or play in an online league? Post the team you play for and the irc channel if you wanna idle or scrim. I'm west cal-m here and i'm down to play almost anytime..

ah, counterstrike. i used to play for hours and hours but now its only seldom. i enjoyed 1.6 better, but i play CSS more because of the graphics. Lots of stupid players though. some servers say "no awp" and i use scout (i am MASTER of scout) and then everyone's complaining its a "noob" weapon. but it is VERY enjoyable when both teams use strategy.

Well you eliminate all of teh stupid people in source by only pubbing in a DM server to sharpen your skills or warm-up on. I've done CAL for a couple seasons now and that is where you will find teamwork. Or CEVO might even be run better, plus money, so better teams. I'll play some 1.6 wit u if ya feel like it, just PM me^^ What game u playin now?

Iv been playing source for around 9 months now, i play on a server called simiancage (www.simiancage.co.uk) you should check us out.. the skill level is very high and the community is great

LOL i tried playing i got kicked for having a high ping.

wish there was a way i could play you guys without getting a high ping.

Since i can headshot most everyone with a scout, i'm starting to try no-scope. and damn, i am really good at that too. it happens so often and the other players get suspicious. especially when i get 3 people with a headshot in a row.

^^NJ. Most everyone is excluding me btw. Start posting some ips people. I'll be sure to check them out. You might find me playing in the UWarfare Seattle OC3 server or PowersGaming Denver Server.

What team are you on, out of curiousity?

I was on a CAL-M team, but I'm not in it anymore. Probably going to try start with a good CAL-O team again. Yep, I'm a Source player too ..

after a brief re-fascination with CS 1.6, i'm back to CS:Source.
I've been asked several times to join clans or even into cal, but i turn them down. I don't really want to have obligations of going to organized scrims or "pro practicing."
If we want to all meet up and have a good time on a server, then i'll be in. good way to make friends, eh?

i played cs for yrs and stopped about 1.5 yrs ago. Just got cs source now and wow, its taking me a while to get the hang/feel of the game.
also my video card can't really handle the gfx even on low . so im force to use 800x600 resolution with about 20-45fps on sum maps.

Can any 1 recommend a vid card that can max out source?

Not quite sure what u mean by max out but, a 7800gtx would do ya good! 800X600 is a bad resolution for CSS! I have a ATi Radeon 9800 Pro and the game runs fine for me. That would only cost u a couple hundred if that.

i used to be really good at 1.6, was in a clan, would get ratios of around 6:1. the clan has pretty much died and so has my intrest in 1.6. nowadays, i play source, i dont do too much online play, i mainly play against the bots. bots dont cry when you repeatly scout them, so yeah, its more fun that way. if anyone wants to play me sometime though, just pm me sometime.

Yes, the settings are something like that. Thats what I play on. Been owning it up on the PowersGaming Deathmatch server lately, somebody step in and give it a try
