^^^ Hardcore Trancer, shouldn't you be busy blowing Cyrus King (or the other way around)???

To answer the question, Gouryella project was done by Tiesto and Ferry Corsten. Based on the strong classic structure of the tune, I'd venture to say that Ferry Corsten did most of the work. Furthermore, in Future Mag Novation ad, Ferry Corsten is listed as the "man behind Goryella". I'd say Ferry is probably to credit and Tiesto gets credit for riding Ferry's coat tail.

just on the last project ferry did his thing (ligaya). the rest (gouryella, tenshi, walhalla) were tiesto and ferry together.

we should make Gouryella a sticky on this forum

Posted by Liquid Fusion on Dec-08-2005 17:09:

so whats the title of the song...would it Ferry Corsten - Gouryella - Ligaya (Feat. DJ Tiesto)? Should i post a sample or something?

Posted by zoric on Dec-08-2005 17:21:

If you're referring too Ligaya then it should be Gouryella - Ligaya. Gouryella is Ferry Corsten and DJ Testo, but DJ Testo didn't produce that tune together with Ferry Corsten, for an example check this: http://www.discogs.com/release/52834

Remember, they've made a tune called Gouryella, it's got the exact name as the people behind Gouryella.

You probably know of those:
Gouryella - Gouryella
Gouryella - Ligaya
Gouryella - Tenshi
Gouryella - Walhalla

Hence why ligaya is the best gouryella track

Posted by RebeL9 on Dec-10-2005 05:55:

personally I find Ligaya really crap. I remember I had huge expactations after three strong releases. But Ferry seem to have lost the energy on the way and just threw out something really uninspiring.

something alot of people forget is the really underrated Gorella. That is a really cool track with a nice pace.

I still hammer the Hybrid remixes of Walhalla. Might catch me playing the Armin remix if the crowd is feeling that stuff.

Always hated gouryella. I find the melody a tad cheesy, and it doesn't seem to flow well. Ligaya on the other hand sounded really epic.

Gouryella - Gouryella.

Forever, great memories :')

Ligaya, what a boring production..

well, the melody is all that is remotely likeable about the track, there is no elements in the track that wants me to listen to it again, while Gouryella - Gouryella, has slight variations and an interesting build up..

Ligaya was just a money spinner, ferrys remix of Adagio For Strings, had reached no4 in the uk charts in late '99, and Ligaya bassically had the same structure and a radio mix, so imo it was ferry thinking he could make big but he didnt cause it never got played
