Big Ears Probspot - Foreplay (Original Mix) wow!

hi, i dont know anything about this Probspot guy, and i cant even remember where i found this tune, but its so good! i cant really describe why i like it, but it just seems to work.

i dont know if its trance or what, but its quite chill, and relaxing. quite uplifting too

ive uploaded the song so for those who dont know about it or havent heard can listen:

It's from the first half of 2004 as far as I remember.

Is Probspot well known? Hmmm it depends, but IMO you were sleeping in a wardrobe m8.

Foreplay is a great tune.

Posted by sEpH on Dec-10-2005 18:44:

yeah hes well known

Posted by Mindphaser on Dec-10-2005 18:48:

Well what is "well known"... he never made a top 40 hit so i suppose the very big masses don't know him.
If you would go for clubbing then i think you should have heard his name in one of the dj's sets.

Anyway... seeng you're fav producers/dj's in your sig. im kinda surprised that you like this song...

In the trance / progressive scene Probspot aka Rico Soarez is well known. He made many good productions and remixes under his both aliases.

Progspot is mc prog, whored to death on shows such as GBDJB and ASOT. They are one of Markus Schulz' acts that he used to whore to death to the point where people started losing interest because every other tune they came out with (which was every week) began to sound the same.

lol

yea i know, but theres something really nice about this song that appeals to me

Posted by RebeL9 on Dec-10-2005 19:54:

Probspot was cool the first week until every tune of him was exactly the same

Posted by Rockabye on Dec-10-2005 21:46:

Xenatr if you like this track by Probspot you should check out the following tracks too:

Hammer & Bennett - Language (Santiago Nino Dub Tech Mix)
Niklas Harding - Ice Beach (or any other Niklas Harding stuff)
Ridgewalkers - Find (Andy Moor Remix)
Perry O'Neil - Wave Force

all this stuff is the same sort of style as the Probspot song, has nice melodies, nice bass and is definetly more quality than most of the stuff you listen

So give it a try, I think you will like some of this tunes...

indeed alot of his stuff does sound very samey samey, unfortunetly he fell into the "ive got some wicked presets, lets use them for every tune" trap.

BUT, he has made some awesome tracks, blueberry and midnight and his remixes of "aerospace" and "i kill for you" stick in my mind.

I do like the way he puts his sound into other tracks remix wise, tis just a shame all his original work sounds EXACTLY the same

Great track. Yes his tracks sound similar but it could be worse.

Love the chilled-out atmosphere in this song.

Hey. If you dont know probspot, you should really check out his new collab with Andrew Bennett feat. Jenry on vocals, Light Of Hope. Its a really nice song. Theres been some talk about the melody being very similar to the 3rd Eath melody but in my opinion, in Light Of Hope, it is splayed much much better in a nice melodic yet powerful guitar . One of the best tracks of the year imo.

Cheers,
Zac

the harmonics of the song are actually really well done. even my music professor agreed it was a wonderful piece

Foreplay is amazing, also check out God Shaped Hole

Agree. This track is great. Kinda similar to 3rd Earth but def. different enough.

his signature uplifting bassline is a hate it or love it type of deal for most... if you like foreplay, you should check out his remix of "Young Parisians - Jump The Next Train". Very uplifting as well... Nice touch to the song.
