Cut off age?

ok so i turned 24 last month and i realized that i'm going to have grow up soon. i mean, yea, in the grand scheme of things, i'm still a "baby" and have my life ahead of me since i'm still in college and whatnot...but i mean, i have this hang up about being one of those chicks who dresses/acts too young for her age. i hate when i see like a 50 something year old lady with long, platinum hair and hip hugger jeans on and a wrinkly face

i plan on taking after my mother who is 54 and dresses hip, yet sophisticated (basically banana republic stuff).

but anyway, i've never really done anything crazy with my hair and i was thinking that i better do it now while i'm still young because it would be silly for me to do it when i'm like 28. i want to get extensions (takes too long to grow the length i want it) and i want the whole underneath to be really dark, with platinum on top. basically i want paris hilton hair only with dark in it (she has extensions by the way...her natural hair is actually short).

do u think 24 is too old to have such a trendy hip hair style?

what's the cut off age for women? when do we have to start acting sophisticated and sporting more conservative clothes and hair styles? i think like maybe 27 or 28 is...

Beauty is not defined by age. You should dress how you feel is right. Who gives a fuck if someone doesnt like how you dress. There are no rules (hidden or not) in etiquette that say when you reach an age you must change your style and dress this way to be socially acceptable.

Dress your personality the way you put yourself out.

Re: Cut off age?

i'll be turning 24 in a week, and tho i am worried about getting old i don't give a rats ass about behaving/dreesing my age.
I say don't overthink what u wear, " to be yourself, is all that you can do"

does she know you wanna scalp her ?

lol @ useless thread...

hey i'm trying to win cor whore of the year here!

i'm sure guys see this whole thing differently though. i'm sure if u saw a 40 year old "milf" with a big fake rack hanging out of some little tank top with tight, hip hugger jeans on, u'd be like DAAAMN. i'm sure most women would think she needs to dress her age.

True, it's defined by society and Hollywood.

that's right!

ok so let's think about all your guys' mothers. hahah i'm sure they are in their 40's or 50's...

what if ur mom was wearing mini skirts and hanging out of her tops all the time and had long, blonde hair...basically she was the type that u would see from behind and think, "ooh" but then she'd turn around and you'd see her aging face and think, "uhh.."

24-28 is definitely not too old. Just do it. And a cut off age is more or less determined by a. your felt age and b. the number of wrinkles.

I don't think that you already have wrinkles in your face. That maybe starts with 34 for most, for some its earlier or later...

Women tend to age faster...

So do as much as shit while u can girl..

They look great young so that males can get attracted to them and get em pregnant at a young age to provide better young..

Males tend to look better as they age cause we guys must "sow our seeds" to as many females as possible for the good of the species.Spreading the genetic code, so to speak.

And they wonder why men cant stay faithful..

Its mothefuckin nature. Blame discovery channel.

some 40 and 50 year old moms are hot, though. milfs really but I see what you're saying. it doesnt fit. you kind of have to dress according to your age and generation.

You don't see me walking around wearing bright blue slacks up to my armpits and hair in my ears because i'm not 73 years old. Likewise, old farts shouldn't dress like they just graduated high school.

I am a man and exactly that happens sometimes, there is a woman walking, does not look bad from behind and when she turns around you get shocked. But these women need to be really old to get me shocked (maybe 55-60+?).

Well aside from dressing always use sunscreen, unless you want to look like a leather handbag in the face at 30

Even better: do not use cosmetics at all, do not go in the sun if possible.

Posted by Slylee on Dec-22-2005 16:33:

i don't lay out in the sun any more. i stopped doing that when i was like 21. i hate getting sunburned now and i use sunscreen and wear a hat when i go to the beach. i smoke on and off, but i'm not a big drinker and i quit doing drugs too...

24 is still pretty young, imo... but i think it all depends on how you carry yourself and what type of life you're living. doing crazy stuff with your hair might look weird if you're working in a really professional environment and you're in situations where you have to appear "mature" to fit in...

but hell you live in Florida... i say do it.

Posted by Floorfiller on Dec-22-2005 17:27:

first i think you can look sophisticated and still be stylish...i mean you don't have to be barbara bush

i mean sophistication is timeless...you can have it at any age and it's always stylish too. what's not cool is cheap looking women, so why would you wanna ever look like that anyway?

look at Heather Locklear.

that bitch is old, but i'd put it in so fast...

she's older, but still sexy...
