South American Chicks
So I've been studying spanish for 2 years at University of Colorado and i want to learn it a little better by studying abroad in a spanish speaking country... Spain was my first choice however I hear that South America is an absolute blast... But how are the chicks in south america? Argentina especially? Are there many chicks that look like Adriana Lima down there? If so im buying my ticket tommorow. Pics preferably.
hahaa what a dumbass
post of the year!
lol what a post.
Well anyway, Colombian, Uruguyan, Argentinian are the way to go...and maybe Venezuelan!!
adriana lima is brazilian.
i'd go with
venezuelan, columbian, argentinian, chile, uruguay.
don't know about peru and ecuador, from what i've seen, como que no.
i've recently been watching Show Match, on channel 508.
it's an argentinian show, the channel is pretty much south american.
been trying to pick up a few words here and there.
i think, that Argentinian and Spaniards have the best spanish.
the accents, the use of the language is superb,
so i try to imitate and do a decent job.
-I really like the Spanish accent, i just marvel at it.
-Argentianian accent is ok, it can get annoying at times.
-Accent from the West Indies is kinda funny, they never pronounce the r's
-Colombians speak weird, like heavy, i dunno how to describe it!
-I hate Guatemalan and Mexican accent, it sounds like they are singing or something.

puertorican chicks
(i know,i know puerto rico its not in south america)
haha how would you describe the salvadoran accent, it just seems "normal" or "neutral" to me. Give me your full point of view !
How are the chicks? Seriously man, your aim should be towards finding a good program to study abroad. Focus on that considering your budget and the country you would be interested in learning more about. Go talk with someone in charge of the study abroad program and please ask interesting and helpful questions, don't make a fool of yourself like you just did here.
I'm surprised you couldn't even write a word in Spanish in your message. I mean, you have studied the language for two years!
Another thing, don't worry so much about the women. Wherever you choose to go, I can guarantee that the women there will be beautiful. It is not something you should be worrying about though.
Buena suerte.
ps: this might get long.
there is no such thing as "normal" when comes to language.
let's take english for example, since we started the conversation in it.
if you go New York City, we have regional dialect of English, that will not match something say, in the slums of Georgia, Miami, Cali, etc. so what we have is something that is labeled "standardized English", not "normal English", this is what is used in all means of mass communication.
one must also put their ego's aside and realize that there are other people around the globe that speak english. Some of the british might swear that their English, the Queens English, is the only true english.
can one really argue with them, since they spawned us. (on a side note, i really like their accents, and do a decent immitation.
Same concept with spanish. The spaniards came and invaded us, therefore we were forced to incorporate their language, religion, etc,. into our lives. let's take Mexico for example. if you go to City of Mexico, you will encounter a spanish among the urban youth that i would consider deplorable. their typical slang, will not necessarily carry all over the republic, and one could easily identifity them, "Chilangos."
in regards to Salvadorians, i just don't care for your spanish. the use of words, accent which you do have, seems to coarse for my liking.
you almost resemble your neighbors from Honduras, to the point where at times differentiation between the two can be tricky.
so that brings us to, what is the proper Spanish, if there is such a thing. i think it is all a matter of taste. when i converse in spanish with random people, they usually have trouble identifying my background, because i don't have an accent. i learned spanish here, in the US, but i don't speak like a gringo, or like some hispanic people i know who use the same english accent with spanish; it makes them sound so prentious, and idiotic to say the least. so typically they base their theories on my word usage, which i have fun with, so results vary drastically. and at times, when coversing, i will switch to the accent that the person has, to the point where they ask "que parte de Chile, Colombia, Mexico, etc., eres?

Salvadorans and Honduras have basically the same accent, though the word use slightly differs. coarse language
...whatever, it's your opinion and I should respect it.
Another doubt I have is the view non-spanish speaking people have about Spanish. Like I have this idea like how Italians speak Italian, how French people speak French. But I can't really pinpoint how they view Spanish.
nothing against you m8
if anything, what i really hate is the spanish in the whole regeaton movement.
just take them all, and annihilate them, bunch of no talent feckers.
If I won the fucken lottery, first destination I'd hit is Santiago, Chile. They are having their second annual huge Love Parade on January 7, 2006. Wish to God I could be there.
I was in Chile 3 years ago and I can definitely confirm that the girls are fucken AWESOME and sexy hotties that you'll love.
