'Living in Ottawa, having lived in Toronto for a few months, and seeing it all from a west coast perspective (Vancouverite back in the day), I've been waiting for such a thread.
Toronto:
-Hiphop and Rap/Alternative music city
-hotdog stands
-rooftop patios
-trendy clothing stores (mostly expensive)
-Brass Rail
Montreal
-EDM city
-poutine stands
-second-hand smoke (on its way out)
-trendy clothing stores (mostly good deals)
-Chez Par
In a perfect (Canadian) world, I would wake up in my Vancouver home, earn a paycheck with my Toronto job, then blow it all in Montreal's restaurants/clubs
Vancouver pretty much pwnez evryone, and montreal coming in a close 2nd.

yeah i wanted to say the same.
And there's many many rooftop patios in town.
yeah, I found a few. But in reference to the clubs, several clubs in TO have rooftop patios, didn't see that in Montreal. Please advise if there are any, 'love those.
Yes, everywhere is a rap/hiphop city..even Tokyo! But compared to TO and Van.. I mean, where else would you find a 'suburban' afterhours joint like Redlite?? And Montreal's got the massives too.
As for rooftop patio bars.. yes, Club 737 is a good example. I can't think of too many others...
