It's easy, i've developed a do it yourself version for the home user...

Take a bad remix of an older Depeche Mode song play it with the eq WAY off (i.e. too much bass, too much treble, etc...) then trainwreck it into ANOTHER bad remix of an old Depeche Mode song with the same bad settings, let the mix trainwreck for a while then try to save it...when that doesn't work grab a drink. After you've had a sip just flip the fader over and let the new song play. Repeat steps until Sasha comes on and all the TAs laugh at you.

also, play USHER while opening for Ferry Corsten.

only reason he gets to open for Sasha is because he used to be married to his sister! guess they are still on good terms!

But...thats how I always mix at home.

So if Mark sucks so bad, why doesn't anyone try to do something about it? I mean, most of us know someone in this scene that can influence people. Obviously he's doing something to get to play at Avalon and open up for Sasha. He's doing something most of us TA's AREN'T!!!! I never heard the man, so I'll given him the benefit of the doubt.

We can all suck or have sucked at one point! Shit, I ain't perfect. IMHO I hate my mixing. I can't stand listening to any one of my mixes straight. I hate them. But when people bash someone for playing at a big venue, it really pisses me off. Regardless how bad that person sucks. It pisses me off because instead of doing something about it, (ahem, TRY TO BOOK YOUR OWN GIGS, TRY TO GET ON THAT GUYS PLACE), you bash on the poor guy. If you want to get big gigs, go look for them. They won't come to you. *DISCLAIMER* Unless, off course, you're me! JK...

Seriously people, stop bashing on DJ's and try to get your selves more gigs. Mark might not be our style, but he's getting booked and we're not.

Sincerly
Don Woody

Wow....you've never seen him. Once you do you'll eat your words. And next time Sasha's sister is available let me know, I'll go out with her if that means I can get Mark's status.

Posted by DjWoody on Jan-23-2006 22:50:

lol... I'm not just talking about Mark. I'm talking about BASHING DJs in general. That tends to happen a lot in here. If someone gets a good gig, or scores high in a poll, then they tend to get bashed. I hate that! Shit talking/Bashing is bad Karma. And wheter you belive it or not, it can prevent you from getting gigs. I know of promoters that because their friends heard shit talking from a certain DJ, they won't book them anymore.

Oh...well still, Mark Tabberner sucks and I'm not taking that back ever
