*Being Emo*

I expect the emo comments, so go ahead and say them if you feel like.

I just need to vent.

I hate the town I live in. There's nothing here for teenagers to do except get fucked up, which I'm against. One fifth of the chicks are alcoholics, the second fifth are total potheads, the third fifth are slutty, the fourth fifth are just fucking retarded and the final fifth are too stuck up and prissy. All the good jobs are taken. A lot of the people I hang out with are assholes, simply because they're the closest there is to a decent human being in this town.

I can't wait for college so I can move out of this town and state.

If you cant beat them, join em!

Would you be surprised if I told you that your town is a sample of what the rest of the world holds?

same thing here man. this place is a place for OLD, RETIRED folks. No one gives a rats ass for music that actually isnt about degrading females and sick twisted stories about wanting to stick their key in someones ignition.

Litterally all peopel do here is either get pregnant when theyre 15 or start drugs. For facks sake i had this kid come ot the nurses office saying "He dont feel goo'" then refused signing his REAL name onto a clipboard and instead wrote "Master C". People are fucked up, he then tried getting me to buy heroine from him and as the nurse told him to sign his real name so they can get a proof of identification he refused and said "Bitch dont come near me woman what da fock is this sum muthafockin shit? I din' have to do dis shit laz time i came here. Bitch step off before i stab you with my needle bitch and all muthafuckaz be prayin i wasn' heya"

Cape Cod is the biggest poser place on the planet.

That's America.

Russia won't be getting emo for at least another half a century. Maybe longer.

it's literally the same situation for me. i have a select group of friends, simply because i can't stand the alcoholism here. it's cool though, because all of my friends are fucking awesome and we have a lot of similar interests (i've even gotten most of them turned onto EDM )

stop being so emo. maybe if you gave one of those drunk slutty potheads a chance you'd find out she's got a big heart.

Of course.. before it was cool..

Edit: The numbers work though... Their first album was released in '01..

Edit 2: But then you'd havre had to go from emo to not emo in about 6 months.. which is pretty intense.. As they probably first got MTV coverage, maybe the late night stuff late 2001, 2002. Just because screaming infidelities was on the first album.. and generally you dont make a video for tunes that are 1+ years old..

Edit 3: NO! It was re-released in 2003.. Stupid MTV. The original screamign infedilities was just Carrabba by himself on his own 10 track LP.

PS: I'm hella bored, so i looked this stuff up.

hey... don't laugh at the sad emo girl! the first time i heard Dashboard was in '00, my friend had their old EPs and i listened to those nonstop. then in '01 i was hooked on the 'Welcome To The Family' compilation CD from Drive Thru records which has my favorite emo song of all time, Something Corporate's 'Konstantine'... i still remember the first time i ever heard it, it made me cry!

see i wasn't "emo" in the sense that i wore thick-rimmed glasses and wrote sad poems and wore eyeliner and posted "artistic" black & white photos on myspace or livejournal... i was emo in the sense that i sat around being sad while listening to sad music. the whole emo fad nowadays just seems like something people do to be cool or fit in with a group, and it doesn't really seem to be about emotions.

when i moved to Milwaukee in '02 i left my emo past in NY and took on a new obsession with a music genre that evoked more positive emotions... ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC.

so yea, i guess you could say it was a pretty intense jump... goin from Dashboard to Ferry C, lol.

edit // just remembered another one of my favorite emo CDs: Juliana Theory 'Emotion Is Dead'... "You Always Say Goodnight, Goodnight" was another 'Konstantine'-esque song for me.

Posted by justin on Jan-25-2006 19:54:

just so you all know there was know "emo era" started by some MTV propaghanda or some shit. if anything it's just some term used on the internet,by idiots, and exploited to make people feel like they're less of a human being for having a heart felt moment for once in their pitiful existence.

just go kill something or something
