Ron Artest

he was traded to Sacremento, a franchise w/ a very solid rep.

i think he should've been banned from the league a year ago.

thoughts....

Haha, Hilarious fight last year indeed!

Posted by Kapedano on Jan-26-2006 17:13:

I think he is a great player, it will help the Kings, since they lack on defence alot. Being in a conference where you have to compete with San Antonio, and knowing thier one of the best on the defensive end, it will certently help them alot. The Kings have Mike Bibby, Brad Miller and now Artest. That is a good trio to work with, maybe it will bring them into playoff range. We'll see what happends.

This is bad for the Kings who is the leader there huh? No one Artest will help for the defensive end and the offensive too but once he mouths off who is there to shut him up no one. The Kings lack a leader which is a problem. Artest has serious mental issues this is not a joke he really does. The man puts himself in front of the team more than most people in the history of sports does. I think he wants to be a queens rapper than anything else.

Bottom line: should be and probably will eventually be banned or out of league in a few years and Im SOOOOO HAPPPY he is not a Knick

Yeah, I kind of see your point. I agree with you on some things too, but he is a great player..I mean we will have to wait and see what he'll bring to the table for the Kings.

i like stojakovic's game, but seriously, this definately benefits sacramento, because artest brings defense to the table. peja is not known for his defense, and thus has suffered in the past years, especially during those heated kings-lakers games .

but once bonzi wells comes back, i look for the kings to make a strong late push ala nuggets last year . wells-bibby-artest-miller combination is pretty strong. and also it is an artest-miller reunion. hahaah.. they surely do remember those lowly bulls days back then. .

I remember those days, Ron Artest wasn't even the #1 Ron on that team.

Good players become great players in the Kings system, and I feel like Ron Artest will be no exception. I wonder how Peja will do on Indy though, they are a team with great shooters.

Saw an interview today with the "True Warrior" Ron Artest. He's really, really looney toons. He was saying stuff that he's just different than most people. Yeah buddy, I know. The question is not if he will get in trouble but when! He's gonna snap and implode some guys face. Unfortunately, I'd rather be the guy lobbing the beer because he'll hit the guy next to me.

Great, great player but he's as crazy as Wacko Jacko.

Posted by Yohan on Jan-27-2006 08:20:

IMO Indiana got a steal, remember the similar situation with Carter?
Peja is a proven player. Raps had to settle for 2 crappy players and 2 first rounds, plus paying off Mourning. (which may be part of reason why Babcock was fired yesterday)

Indy got value back for otherwise a headache.

peja was my fav player when the kings had all the crazy players.

ffs i havent followed basketball in so long i foget what the other players were called lol.

I loved the Post white chocolate era, when they lost all those conference finals to the Lakers. Those games were so intense.

I believe it was Chris Webber, Vlade Divac, Doug Christie, Mike Bibby, and Peja Stojakovic.

maybe nachos was referring to this lineup :

Vlade Divac
Chris Webber
Jason Williams
Nick Anderson
peja

oh yeah since we are talking about ron artest here , let's review some history, shall we ?

ron artest and brad miller were teammates in chicago.
ron artest gets traded to indiana.
brad miller opts for sacramento via FA.
ron artest gets into a fight with fans, and gets suspended for the year. then the team trades him to sacramento.
ron artest and brad miller are teammates once again in sacramento.

scot pollard and peja were teammates in sacramento.
scot pollard gets dropped by the kings , and the pacers pick him up.
the pacers trade artest for peja.
peja and scot pollard are once again teammates.

I remember when Artest used to play at St. Johns and got passed over by the Knicks...now he has been on so many teams its rediculous maybe just maybe its because he is insane?

Dennis Rodman > Artest in every catagory defense/insanity etc

Posted by drufrumvancity on Jan-29-2006 08:06:

artest is possibly the second comming of rodman .... but he puts up better scoring numbers.... u better believe he'll be a knick when he becomes a free agent ben... maybe he'll make a track with fellow queensbridge rapper nas

him on the Knicks is the worst thing that could happen to the Knicks and I know its coming

You know about Marbury and his connections in town and how it was supposed to be a distraction well that really never happend (he just is trash) but with Artest he will be rollin wit dipset befour eva ary game nigga

Posted by drufrumvancity on Jan-29-2006 08:19:

lol he'll go nuts man.... every hobo ass hood "brutha" would be all over him asking for a piece, plus the ultra intense media pressure forget it.... artest went crazy in indiana.... indy-freakin-ana.... i cant even imagine what would happen if he played for the knicks...
that being said i do like ron-ron as a player and on the kings he could really flourish, i can see him being a threat to score 25, pull down 10 boards and get afew steal each and every game

he will go nuts in Sacramento in 5 weeks or so there is nothing to do there for one and no rap labels in the vacinity...comptons a long way away!

bottom line: he is an idiot/mental problems with good basketball skills
