save your money until you can buy both at once =)

Save up and move out of your house and live on your own. pay rent, bills, food etc. Dont go through life thinking that you are making good money when others are paying your bills.

How much does the car cost?

You'll also have to taking into account paying insurance, maintenance, gas etc and keeping an extra car ain't exactly cheap. Or would it be your only car?

id probably get rid of mine and keep that as my regular car. which i think ensurance would be cheaper... or a bit more expensive but nothing out of this world. gas would cost me more yes.... my car is a 1.8 and this would be a 5.0

but worth it i think. parents pay for gas and insurance so its ok.

car is prox 5k
so cool though. rear wheel drive. around 200 hp and a nice sound

Posted by RJT on Mar-01-2006 14:08:

Decks.

Posted by Ripped Bag on Mar-01-2006 14:09:

3k would get you 5 months or so with a personal trainer 3x a week.

Posted by ivanbee on Mar-01-2006 14:29:

I was mostly thinking you'd have this as a second car and that'd be really stupid at this stage but I guess you'd have it as your only car.

But come on what's this about your parents paying for your gas and insurance ???????? Insurance I can maybe understand but GAS? Wtf!?!? Quite nice of them!

Having a "nice" car is not something for someone your age especially considering how you're thinking weeks ahead of time with your money which isn't really thinking in the future.
Take into account the fact the car being old might have bigger issues then you envision and because of your small finances do you think you'll be able to get it fixed if something major was to happen?

Wait off on the car till you have a nice margin of extra money.

my friends has a nice 5.0
i say get the decks and forget aobut the 5.0 for now. cause the stang will kill your budget every way. gas, its not that reliable cause A. old car, B. ford and C. its a old used v8 ford coupe that will rust easily. also you'll need to get a beater, insurance will be high, maintenance, and its a gas pig.

i got my 1990 bmw 325is which i always wanted and i found out that buying a used car is a lot of money. insurance and gas aren't bad but to find a good 80's/90's car is hard. i've probably spent around $3500 on the car already and all i've done modification wise was put an exhaust and i bought my coil overs which aren't installed yet.

so... buy the decks first have some fun and wait until you are completely stable with money and don't have anything else better to do to then buy the car but research about it first before you know what your getting yourself into.

Decks (better investment)

Car will break down & MORE money will be spent fixing then you'll regret buying it & not the decks.

or he can get a quality car....bmw is a good one.

get the decks. they don't cost money to spin, and they're fun anytime you want to use them. They can also make you money if you're good at playing them and you get some hookups.

besides, mustangs are fucking gay.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Mar-01-2006 16:29:

i dunno if i'd necessarily go for 1000's though.

decks>car

probably because 95% of their check goes into buying whatever the fuck they want, while 95% of yours goes to bills. pet peeve or no, it sounds like they've got a much sweeter deal than you. jealous? methinks so.

Currently 36% of my net goes into bills. And whats to be jealous of? The fact that I would be living off my parents and acting like I am a baller? Or the fact I have a career, make good money and do whatever the fuck I want to do with my money?

The bottom line: you cant have hot orgies at your parents house.

yOu could buy a ticket to antactica & slide on ice with the penguins.
