weekend: cattaneo or deep dish?

Never seen either. Can someone in the know tell me what these guys are like? I lean more towards trance & hard house, any guesses as to who would satisfy me more?

I guess Deep Dish is "Trancier" but its really up to you.. Search on the internet for their sound samples and then you decide . Both are very good dj's anyhow.

Deep Dish!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out Hernan. He's so good. Probably my second favorite right now behind Zabs. He plays house, but really good house. A lot of the tracks he plays have trancey elements in them.

I'll upload a recent Hernan set from his radio show tomorrow when I get in from work.

havent heard him live but he sounds like the typical opening act for the average progressive trance DJ.... Deep Dish seems more entertaining, ill be goin to that

Hernan - the man has a vision when he's behind the decks

relentless ....

Hernan is number 1. There is no other.

its all relative though. put a guy like hernan with a trance dj, and yeah, he is the opener. Have him headline at Crobar and wll have have that crowd in the palm of his hand.

I suppose the #7 dj on the djmag top 100 poll, could sound just like a typical opening dj.......

Posted by Piet on Mar-13-2006 15:21:

for some reason i figured a list like dj mag would totally overlook hernan but hes on there

Renaissance

Posted by MAXIMUM on Mar-13-2006 16:04:

cattaneo

of course hernan he is the best house dj i ever heard well zabi is good yeah so see you at hernan cattaneo

Posted by Drogean on Mar-13-2006 16:19:

i might

Posted by zachias31 on Mar-13-2006 16:27:

I's gettin too old for that. After PVD and Tenaglia I can only do one show if any this weekend.

haha you are asking a NYC-house-obsessed- forum between house and trance? Of course they will send you to Hernan. They are both very popular, and will fill a room....but to be more objective, if you like house go to Hernan, if your style is more trance, then go to Deep Dish.

Posted by zachias31 on Mar-13-2006 17:28:

Yeah, well, house obsessed or not, this forum seems as pleased with folks like PVD, Ferry, John 00 as I am, and is beginning to hate Tiesto as I am, so I figure the opinions will we worth something to me. Style doesn't matter quite so much as I wanna see someone who's RELENTLESS, someone who'll keep me dancing. With that as the criteria, does Hernan sound like the plan?

Posted by Kurve on Mar-13-2006 19:16:

since when does deep dish play trancy stuff?? to me they are more house then anything else. Hernan i like because its on of the only djs that still plays true progressive and doesnt totally venture to the electro field with many prog big name djs have done! Hernan is the man awsome guy and put on a wikked show!

Posted by EliPsE on Mar-13-2006 19:20:

Hernan all the way, his style is awesome.
Deepdish most likely wont have both of the guys there either.

Actually, they will, according to the flyers I've seen on rhythmism.
