Serious Stabbing

Police are looking for suspects after an 18-year-old man was stabbed at the Tonic Nightclub Monday night.

Investigators say the victim and his friends got into a fight with another group outside the club on Peter St. near Richmond and it continued inside at about 11pm. At one point the 18-year-old was knifed in the torso.

The man was listed in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery at St. Michael�s Hospital.

The motive for the assault was unclear, and there was no suspect description to go on.

I went to Tonic last year more often then I'd like to admit...(you can't say no to $1.50 drinks)

But I'm not surprised.... so rediculous. Guess the pat-downs and metal detectors aren't enough... ?!?!?

gotta love the fact taht it was an 18 y/o....forget the metal detectors and pat downs...what about ID authentication

Exactly what I was thinking. I wonder what happens to a club in this type of situation. I do not know if they can prove if they sold him alcohol, but maybe their liqour license is rejected? Certainly should be.

Nothing would be open if we applied your logic
Why punish the club
There are those of us that make a living working in clubs
How abouts we shut down where you work next time soomething happens there
