[REVIEW] How Sweet It Is :boo rant:

What a horrible horrible night! This was the first party I've been to that has just straight up blown balls. I don't even want to go to raves anymore but all my girlfriend's went and I didn't wanna be left behind so we went. I'm pissed that I spent $101.xx for me and my girls tickets..such a waste. As soon as we got in at 9 we walked in the main house room and it felt like we were outside..it was freezing in there. Not only was the weather inclement and the cold killing us, the talent did absolutely nothing. Jason Blakemore couldn't find a beat to save his life and was horsejumping throughout his set. Glaude came on and dropped some good beats but that was the beginning and the end of the night. After Glaude got off, it turned stupid ass shit.

There are so many little kiddie ravers that are there getting fucked up and I can't stand watching it. This is why I'm glad I'm 21 now, no more raves for me.

In addition to the music blowing, the security guards were NUTS last night!!!! We'd be in the middle trying to dance and out of nowhere 4 different times security guards would come running through the crowd and tackle the person they thought was dealing. Bathroom stalls did not have doors in the ladies bathroom and it's ridiculous because my girl was on the rag last night. They had 10 guards in the bathroom basically holding your hand while you piss.

All in all I think I did a great job staying till 11:30. It was the shittiest party ever and we bounced 2 hours in. SHAME!

Thats to bad, because the other how sweet's that i have been to before 2000 fucking owned!b3cande always came through on the production end of things....if anyone went to how sweet 2000 at the fair grounds knows what i am talking about-richie hawtin, and max graham closing it out durring the sunrise was fucking classic.

but this year the line-up was pretty meh.....

i saw the lineup and was like what a shitty lineup. glaude and potentially farina (he hasnt been good lately though) were the only ones that would be good. and to make things worse i cant stand the rave scene since i started going to the clubs. if thats all you can attend then its cool but once you experience the clubs it doesnt even compare.

Donald Glaude!!! was just insane, but he did go on too early i believe. the rest just sucked!! that DJ Jason Blake wow ...how can he even DJ...sorry but it was just horrible!...the rest of the night was just full of E-puddles and crazy cracked out kids runing around waving there hands.

the problem is insomniac, any event i went which was organized by them was horrible. now, before even looking at the dj line up, i check to see if insomniac is involved. they freak me out that much. there are good raves, it will be VERY wrong to say they are all bad.

Should've been at Disney Hall. That was one of the most incredible nights I've ever had.

sorry to hear about your night. but atleast you got to hear SOME music... spundae line was insane. i threw in the towel and just drove back home lol

i went to how sweet last year...worst most scumbag party ive ever been to. plus a speaker fell on a girl in front of my eyes there.

No, it's not. It's Go Ventures. They are the main reason for all the big raves. Insomniac does Drum n Bass every Wednesday at Vanguard and all the special events such as Paul Van Dyk, and those aren't bad at all.

I was there for an hour, got some good pics of Glaude and saw how whe Garth came on after, he cleared the main room and everyone went to the drum n bass room..which I think had a much better lineup.

I was there for 2000...it was awesome!

well imo i would give that party a 6. i agree with you guys that it was a SHITTY ass party, but my friends made it better or i would have left. since im not 21 i dont have the option to goto clubs like u guys otherwise i would in a heart beat. im gettin over the fact that massives keep gettin worse and worse as the years go on. i mean does pasquale not make enough money with EDC/NW/TAO/HSII/VANGUARD/special events? its like they get shadier and shadier every year. They said on there website 45 bux at the door. i get there at 900 on the dot and get up to buy tickets 50bux. i asked the lady well i thought they were advertised as 45 and she goes thats if your buying presales and i said no its not but w/e. all in all glaude and i heard doc martin were good but i didnt stay long enough for martin. HSII sucks and i am never going again. i just dont understand production was horrible. lineup was SHIT. where does that 50bux go? in there pocket i guess bc that was the worse massive to date and ive been raving for 2 yrs

there was a buncha stuff going on last nite you and your girls shoulda hit up...avalon...spundae...walt disney concert hall...i think all those would have been better.

on another note/rant...i didnt go out last nite cus im still feeling kinda sick and stuff but i was walking down the street last nite and some guy totally bumped into my friend and started a fight with us out of nowhere. it was pretty funny cus me and my friends are like 6 feet tall 200 pounds 24 years old...and these kids are like 5-5 150 pounds and 16 years old. anyways...little kids are lame and i refuse to party with them. thats why we had to kick their ass

i have been to about 5 or 6 massives and each time i got more and more bored with the lineup. same djs every time it seems. they dont get any new talent. and then since going to my first club event last may (at 4th and b with boris md, markus, and armin) i went to 2 massives after that and i am pretty much over them. they dont have the vibe and it seems to be all a bunch of cracked out candy kids that arent into the music as much as they are the drugs. it just isnt the same.

no surprise.i knew this party was going to be bunk. lineup was pretty much identical to last year. i wanna hear more HORRIBLE experiences, it cracks me up.

Tell me about it dude..I had to go to the rave because my girl and her friends are 20 and they can't go out to clubs yet so it blows my right nut that I have to go to these things.

This is why I went down to SD for Armin and Markus on Friday night, so I could get my fix of some good music in a club.

Fuck raves, I'm absolutely sick of them.

PS...the only shitty thing about Saturday night was spending money and leaving an hour and a half later but when we left we all a very wild night filled with lots o' boobs and good music. :shh:

fucking massives use to be SICK adn it just seems now like he doesnt care and just puts no heart into parties ne more with the exceptions of NOcturnal this laast year and TAO were good production parties imo. I can agree raves are bad but it sucks for us younger kids 18-20 who do respect the music bc we cant goto clubs. raves r chill in other parts but idk i guess not here in socal they are just gettin shittier and shitter as tiem goes on.

I have no idea what he does with his money, but doesn't he own Vanguard?

Pasquale manages Vanguard. He doesn't own it.

Went to HSII myself and yes the main room dj's SUCKED with the exception of Glaude.

But DAMN, the dnb room was off the hook. Just about every dj in there blew the roof off the place. That room made my night.


I'm sure electric daisy carnival will have a much better overall lineup. I'm sure the main headliner for that party will be a trance dj this time.
