What is your 'Go To' VST?

what is your most used vst, that is a must and you look at first when you start a project? only list the most important for you. I create more then just trance, so the one i could not live without is:

East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Library Gold Edition

z3ta+ (with Virus mod)

I can pretty much find inspiration in that thing.

Native Instruments FM7 is my weapon of choice for producing mainstream, melodic and prog. trance.

v-station + synthology presets

Synthology presets are amazing. Just change a few things and add your own sound to them and you're all good to go. Damn those Alphazone guys for making some damn good tunes and sounds.

Superwave trance pro is the first thing I go for when creating a melody. Also atmosphere and now vanguard which a first I thought was a wste of money. Really depends what sort of track I feel like making.

Albino 2. I'm looking to add another one, but I'm taking my time to learn Albino fully before I do that.

vanguard but usually just use my jp 8000

Posted by Low Profile on Mar-22-2006 23:13:

Z3ta, no doubt about it! ...actually, it's pretty much the only vst I use these days, occasionally I use Reaktor with my Nemo ensemble, but 90% of my sounds come from z3ta

Posted by RickyM on Mar-23-2006 00:25:

Vanguard & 3xosc & TB404

I've been using Z3TA quite a bit lately, I find it very usefull. I mainly use it for lush and trippy pads. I don't understand why some other VSTs have such bland, odd, and cheesey pads. Z3TA gives me plenty of decent pads I can actually use. It's not too hard to tweak a soundset either. Z3TA's sounds are very inspiring, single-handedly inspiring new compositions. That's the mark of a good VST I think. I almost think I might be able to create my own sounds with Z3TA, it's ease of use will at least give me a fighting chance at it.

For bass, I usually go to V-station.

Albino 2

Atmosphere

Oddity

wow, lots of hype on z3ta, i've tried it b4, but never took to much interest in it as i never thoroughly went over its functions or patches. Maybe i'll re-evaluate my decision

as expected, ppl have the erge to post more then one lol. seriously most of us who use vst's are aware of whats out there. with the hard decision of only choosing one, i just want to see what it'd be (and yes, i'm aware different vst's for different purposes of course) but as stated, what can you not live without.
