I've had my eye on this for almost a year now. I can't wait. It's already a cult classic and they have only released the plot.
:edit: (I guess they have now also finally released a trailer too)

there are tons of cartoons out too but i can't find them right now.

Here is a trailer:

Looks like it's going to be an epic movie. Watch out Gone with the Wind, Benhur and Titanic! We are lucky to see the release of this movie within our life times.

Please tell me this is some kind of a joke... it looks like CGI gone bad in an extremely cheap setting cuz they broke the bank hiring Samuel.

........with further investigation....... I realize..... this is no joke.......... I feel sad for Jackson's career... has he decided to bomb already?!?

Posted by VERTiG0 on Mar-23-2006 20:45:

Tim. Come on dude. This movie is going to be the best movie of our lifetime, and you can't deny that.

You mean to tell me that there's SNAKES ON THIS MOTHAFUCKIN' PLANE?

Samuel L. Jackson is THE BEST.

Posted by Yohan on Mar-23-2006 20:51:

Samuel L Jackson kicks Chuck Norris's ass

Posted by nusty on Mar-23-2006 20:51:

Jackson aparently only took the movie because of how bad of a title it is. They tried to change it a few months ago and he walked off the set until they changed it back. They aren't even paying him his going rate on this one.

Well sounds like a winner...

I'll save you all $20... Here's the movie...

-character introduction
-please fasten seatbelts
-some storm shakes snake cages open or maybe some twisted bad guy releases the snakes for fun
-snakes get out
-people freak out
-people die
-Samuel gets pissed at snakes
-people die
-Samuel uses some cheesy well-timed lines
-people die
-Samuel kills the muthafuckin snakes with some help from a couple equally angry passengers
-one bad ass snake remains
-bad ass snake kills off secondary characters... except maybe the lead female
-Samuel says something REALLY bad ass line to the snake.
-Snake hisses
-Samuel kills off bad ass snake is some hard-to-believe mannor
-Samuel says another awesome cheesy line.
-Samuel lands plane cuz the pilot is probably dead
-Samuel and female lead fall in love and never want to see snakes again

The end! WOO!

LOL, its worse than that. Someone is trying to assassinate one of the passengers. Appartently the victim is in protective custody, witness protection kinda thing. I dunno, sounds kinda ghey.

yeah the idea is that in this day and age you can't get guns or bombs onto planes anymore, but you can get snakes on in storage.

The lack of faith within this thread is disturbing.

On that note... on my plane trip last week a thought crossed my mind as I passed through the metal detector... do they search animals the same way they search humans? Or is it possible to hide a bomb in a cat?

"This Summer, You Will Believe That Snakes Can Fly!

In the US if the animal is carry on they make you take the cat out of the box, go through the scanner and put the box through x-ray. For shipping items, they are screened although this is still questionable since not all flights are always processed 100%.

Yeah, but movies can get around all that. Who really knows that procedure?

true. movies can pretty much do whatever they want. I mean snakes on a plane was pretty weak idea to begin with. I almost wish they would have made the movie a little more budget. The trailer looks pretty high quality.

I'll have to check it out when I get home. Nothing seems to work right at work.

You can't judge a cult classic based on its plot.

Look at Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Reservoir Dogs, Lock Stock...sick movies, idiotic plots. Well, except RD...bank robberies ftw.

Hmmm.. pretty much all those movies have complex plots... especially the way their stories interweave throughout the story... I highly doubt this movie will have such character development and diversity as those classics.

Yeah...no Tarantino here. Let's hope Sammy takes this one to the bank (but lands safely in the process).

Posted by Yohan on Mar-23-2006 21:28:

For the record, I will not be seeing this movie as I can't stand snakes.

Saw 15 mins of Anaconda and I had to leave
