I love the groove and feel to this track mike. You're certainly exploring different genres at the moment
I have no idea if this will work or whether you'll want to try it but i think this track would sound pretty cool with a psytrance style beat/kick drum. Just a thought
EDIT\\ I forgot to mention, perfect name for the track!
Reminds me of some sort of deep, underwater sea life =) Really cool actually, love the images I get from it. Nice one bud
thanks guys! im not sure about the psy kick idea, i love the way the kick and bass just kinda slide together softly. i think its too late to change the kick without destroying the overall sound of the track.
thanks for comments!
Nice laid back sound youve got going on, beautiful sea noises and some excellent FX. I wouldnt change anything on this track, sounds really well produced, quite jealous.
wow,
this is superb, shows that you got some massive skill.
i dont like the snare drum but thats just a personal matter of taste.
the break sounds great. creates a relaxed, dark, unique atmosphere.
my absolute favourite in this tune are the vocals and those bongos you introduce in the break.
alltogether great use of fx.
sounds pretty precious to me.
cheers on your good work.
nik.
love it man...love everything about it.
the bassline just intertwines the the kick like a worm.
really cool atmosphere u got go'n.
great track
The link's not working for me
Effero
for me neither =\
eww.. that snare doesnt fit in man
nice groove youve got going 00:46 love the modified bongotomsthings..
Im getting the idea of black magic.. youve got the title right
3:51 I dont like that old computergame sound
.. sounds very clean and stuff I quite like the track but the snare and the computersound dont work for me

i don't know what people are talk'n bad about ur snare man......i like it.
It sounds clear, I like the snare you used. It's beautifuly soft and at the same time present.
This mix is something different. It left an impression on me so that I wanted to listen to it again. That's the thing I'm looking for when critiquing other people's work. All the elements interact very well and tell a story of Black Magic. Each sound has its own place and that gives you a sense of clarity and dimension. But it's not just how well things are technically executed but the music itself which moves me.
In one word...great
Respect

very nice and original....magic......and black.
mystical track, ideas are cool and the bass is sweet. great stuff.
This is so great!
I love the atmosphere, the soundeffects are great!
I like the snare, nothing wrong with it, fits well.
Break is wonderful.
Hope to hear more like this!
Mike! This is great, I love the laid-back style...and the fx...now I wonder if you'll add a nice piano theme...which I think would've worked in some parts
looking forward to hear complete version
trippy... definately has a underwater feel to it. you've been always doing different things with your style in trance.
i agree with the others that your snare doesn't sound right in the mix.
all the best
interesting opinions on the snare. what are you listening to the track on? (those of you who dont like the snare?) after hearing it on slinkys system ive made up my mind that the snare definately works for me so im afraid im going to keep it

hehe
thanks for the feedback so far
mike
yeah this is really cool stuff keep up the really nice work. good to see so many tastes from you also! skilled producer you are.
anyway was listening and thought that in some part of the song that the bassline could come through as more punchy like oliver liebs - traveller but not that much like his but i can hear it would go well later on in the track.
never know you could probably get alot harder too when the stronger bassline kick in.
i dont know what you want from the track but these are just some ideas.
cheers
mattz
sorry dude i didnt link it! boring...
thanks for the ideas so far, ill bear them in mind for future stuff. this particular one is definately meant as a kinda deep atmospheric track rather than a big club track.
